My Anthem

First, a MITI minister rationalised that it's OK for her son-in-law to be gifted with APs as this allocation was for Bumi, and surely her son-in-law was a Bumi. Further, the PM also did it for his children, wat!

Then they brought down a DPM on trumped up charges of sodomy and corruption. They rationalised that two honourable judges -- August Paul and Ariffin Jaka -- heard the testimony in open court, and they were honourable men. So what the hell are you people compalining. We are transparent, wat!

Then one SA built a RM7mil-RM10mil mansionwithout planning approvals that dwarfed even the former DPM's former residence in Damansara Hieghts. The poor ex-railway gatekeeper and the soft-hearted MB rationalised it was only a "small"house. Further, Zak was so charitable -- he hosted a Hari Raya gathering for his grateful constituents. Ah, Zak also enterained orphans to his generosity, wat!

Then they elevated the status of those infamous, death-wishing-and-causing maniacal Mat Rempit to "hallowed gemilang" hall of fame because the UMNO Putera chief -- OMG, he was caught with his pants down at a karaoke joint in SJ, No? -- rationalised these Mad bunch are our nation's assets, if only we trated them with respect. Yeah, hand 'em a Datukship each...Yeah, you Opposition and Bloggers jealous only, wat!

Yesterday UMNO Youth chief -- OMG, he has been our Education Minister, No? -- took the work "rationalisation" to even greater hgeights -- he vowed, quoting theSun's headline today -- that the "Keris (is) a refuge for all". Yeah, he remembers not that his relative -- PM-in-waiting, No? -- OMG, may the Truth saves us all! -- wielded the same weapon one fine day in a certain Selangor Padang, along with the most-developed state MB, calling for the shedding of your blood. Further, you blardy masochistic Malaysians, you VOTED for BN, wat!

Before you start throwing pies at Desi's face, pause and ponder.
Remember Novemeber 5th, "V" for Vendetta.
Remember November 10th, "V"ote for Victory."Vote Opposition, "V"ote PKR!

As an anti-dote to all those rhetorics and Bulls*** that continue to pollute the Malaysian atmosphere emitting from the PWTC Stage, please try Desi's favourite dish. From Max Ehrmann, that goes down pretty well with Fish-head Curry Cari Desi di Mantin -- invites to Moses Foo, maverick sm and Stanleye Kohe aka made monke -- comes this recipe~~~~~~~

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

My advice, that you, my dear EsteemedReaders, ruminate on some key points, worth some 3 sen, one aMore than others', before I adjourn to Men Kee for CON BF, for I celebrate in Solitude away from all the cacophony of noise from the PWTC4 for the 'hole blardy week.If you can track/ce Desi down amid the haze, maze and daze that define Furong, welcome to join me, I steal can afford to belanja thee tehtarik:) Lamp chop2, and bif stick3!:):):)

(1) Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection.

(2) Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

(3) With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

mGf: NOTE THAT THE LAST POINT reads "Strive to be happy..." and NOT "Be happy". There's a huge difference.

"Strive" means "make effort, try, or work towards", and hence it implies it's not something easily achieved.
We finally reap what we sow -- as also implied by the saying "What goes around comes around.

*If an individual wishes to achieve happiness, first he/she must try to make the world a happier place i.e. contribute positively in small ways (eg helping our friends, or even strangers, in our daily lives:) Example, buy Desi a CON BF on a colde Tuesday. Badder still, bring **MORRIE!:)

* Max did not write this; Desi did.

** Now go read Mitch Albom's "Tuesdays with Morrie". I get 30% promoting this. And after reading it, and you think thy short life on Mother GOoD Earth is being lengthened by a few years,buy Desi CON DINNER as wellA!:):) Chow!

It doesnt matter whether the debates will be televised or not because Umno delegates will still go beserk and brandish their keris. So let it be.

Rhetorical speech do incite emotional behaviors and causes distress and generate fears. This then becomes intensified which would lead to distress action or even psychopathics who would do what Harussani had dream to do. The nation has no hope so long as the coalition exist as a separate entity of a grouping defined by race, religion and creeds.

DESIDERATA: I heartily invite brudder NSTman, aweways singing Let It Be, to emerge from hyde-ing and mayhaps we will also go berserk singing our new anthem "V" for Victory!
Dear Maverick sm: They can incite and play around with fires of intimidation and fear, but today is no more May 1969 -- it's 2007 when our Gods of righteousness smile in heaven -- so these b'st'rds can yell their solgans but the reward is they will burn in hell. There is an awesome truth that will haunt such moronic and menacing "Malaysians" -- WHAT GOES AROUD COMES AROUND.
Dear MosesFoo: Yes, your Mantin of olde has changed -- bring back thy sterling pounds and I will guide thee, and Stabley, and maverick and NSTman -- to the famous Fish-head Curry. Compass: entering Mantin from Seremban, jsut pass the petrol station on the right, further 20 meters the first block of shop houses on thy right. Somewhere in the midst of shops is one Chinoserie coffee-shop, take ala carte orders. My fave, your gas is as goode as mine. But not those stinking odours from the PWTC4 hall, Ooops, Hell.
Come try a new recipe from Max Ehrmann too -- you need it as Counter-rhetoric:) CHOW!

Dear Desi,
FYI, I hv no sterling with me, onLy poUnd of bodyweIght. For my wage is in MYR, in which witH each pAssIng day, is geTting smaller and smaller and easier to dropOut of from me hoLey pockeT.
Mantin is changing. I wish it was still in those happy days but alas there are not for me anymore but for another generation of "little daffodils". Well, whether Mantin FHC or Furong beef noodle or yeepoh "old li'l mousy" nudle, I do make weekly trip back home and at least annual pilgramage during the Chinese Lunar NY to a schoolmate.
Desiderata touched me once. The burden of living has lost its dimmed its lustre on my soul. But reading it reflood the serenity of the opening para.
Dear sir, your "foolish" words recloud my borrowed imagining of yet another troubled bygone era. An era b4 my coming. An era of campfire, joyful vanguard, for which I had glance through its songbook once. Its foolishness are like the leprechaun's dancing in the road disappearing over the horizon (was it a fair or true imaginery? I am a child of the birth of the NEP for which literature was something I didn't experienced fully, only fleetingly, hence my faulty attempt of the master. Ah! That's the word, doggerel! There was a master once, right? In your old NSunT? They were a delite).
Ok-lah. Time to go. Long enough already. And the spirit is now better already.
