It's just adieu

I miss you so, my friend
A daily diet of AM
now is denied me

I miss the invigoration
The quality words
the beautiful lines

I hope AMigo
I'll see your face again
Smiling to greet me at early morn

I drank of your wine, made of
Grapes of soothing rhyme
Songs of knowledge sublime

But you said it's time
To ring down the curtain
As the money has run dry

I wish I could write out
A cheque for a million
To make you AM stay

I pray it's just adieu
And not goodbye.

I reprise here a poem I composed in the first weekend of 2001 to mark a milestone of a fellow traveller's journey which I then wished had not happened. But life's reality can be cruel.

So dear Reader/s, let you SIRprise me when I take the corber at Moon River's bend
Do I see a SweetSpirit?

OR it might just be YOU!:):)

Stephen Bishop - It Might Be You (Music Video) from Tootsie 1982

WIT' lyrics:

Time I've been passing, time watching trains go byAll of my life lying on the sand, watching seabirds flyWishing there would be someone waiting home for meSomething's telling me it might be youIt's telling me it might be you all of my life
Looking back as lovers go walking past all of my lifeWondering how they met and what makes it lastIf I found the place, would I recognize the face?Something's telling me it might be youYeah, it's telling me it might be you
So many quiet walks to takeSo many dreams to wakeAnd we've so much love to makeOh, I think we've gonna need some time[ From: ]Many be all we need is time
And it's telling me it might be you all of my life
I've been saving love songs and lullabiesAnd there're so much more no one's ever heard beforeSomething's telling me it might be youYeah, it's telling me it must be youAnd I'm feeling it'll just be you all of my life
May be it's you(It's you)Maybe it's you(It's you)I've been waiting for all of my life

"FATIGUE" sets in for many at BLACKOUT505 so...

DEsi was more than "relieved" to read in theSUN today at long BF-cum-lunch, viz:

No more Black 505 rallies for now: Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR (June 23, 2013): Pakatan Rakyat will not be organising any more Black 505 rallies to protest the 13th general election results in the near future, opposition de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said today.
"Not now, for now no, but I cannot speak up for the non-governmental organisations.
"As for Pakatan Rakyat, we have to move on (from the Black 505 rally), but the protest (against the results) will have to move on," he told a press conference after the opening of the Pakatan Rakyat Leaders Convention today.
Anwar said there were the petitions filed challenging the election results as well as interaction with foreign countries, such as the invitation he received to meet up with Indonesian President Sosilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
"It's too obvious and too plain for the world, because there is the majority (won) and you can't ignore that Pakatan obtained a comfortable majority compared to BN.
"A certain point which is very relevant is the fact that we have adduced incontrovertible evidence to support our claim that there is mass rigging and fraud," he said.
Asked on whether this meant a transition from street rallies to other tools such as petitions, Anwar said, "The protest has to continue, that is obvious."
Meanwhile, on the turnout at the Black 505 rally on Saturday, Anwar said anyone with any sign of asthma or heart problems was advised not to attend.
***Anwar also said perhaps there could be some leaders within the Opposition coalition who were tired of the fight, a notion he called "fatigue syndrome".
"There are voices telling us to move on, but I would like to remind them that it is impossible to move forward without understanding the reality of history, past and present.
"These voices as PAS vice-chairman Datuk Husam Musa said, are the voices of Umno within Pakatan Rakyat, and should be rejected," he said.
Anwar related the incident in 2008, when the Opposition had a real hope of taking Putrajaya and everyone was fired up and passionate but when the victory eluded them they became disheartened.
Husam had on June 12, in a Black 505 rally in Ketereh, said he was confident any leader who voiced discord about the rallies within the coalition were 'Umno voices in PKR, PAS and DAP'.
"If they are disappointed, (ask) what is wrong with us expressing our disappointment by gathering together and giving speeches," he said.

DESIDERATA: Quoting this line from the report above, *** "Anwar also said perhaps there could be some leaders within the Opposition coalition who were tired of the fight, a notion he called "fatigue syndrome", I urge PR LEADERS. esp DS ANWAR IBRAHIM, to be "kinder" to other comrades who have earlier felt the "fatigue" -- including Furongknight, during Starry Starry Night, BUMmer DEsi-cum-koboi2! -- because THERE'S A TIME FOR EVERYTHING -- A time to build up, a time to tear down...

Starry Starry Night: II (My/Our Current Anthem)

mGf from Satay town Koboi1 and Kboi2 from Furong share a talent few know about unless you have had a peeep/peek into our resumes -- ART! Hence the following lyrics resonate wellA wit' us, always found at buttelfry Varrey where the sky is always rainbow hued!:)

Starry, starry night
Paint your palette blue and gray
Look out on a summer's day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul
Shadows on the hills
Sketch the trees and the daffodils
Catch the breeze and the winter chills
In colors on the snowy linen land

Now I understand what you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
How you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now

Starry, starry night
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze
Swirling clouds in violet haze
Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue
Colors changing hue
Morning fields of amber grain
Weathered faces lined in pain
Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand

Now I understand what you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now

For they could not love you
But still your love was true
And when no hope was left inside
On that starry, starry night
You took your life as lovers often do
But I could have told you, Vincent
This world was never meant
For one as beautiful as you

Starry, starry night
Portraits hung in empty halls
Frameless heads on nameless walls
With eyes that watch the world and can't forget
Like the strangers that you've met
The ragged men in ragged clothes
A silver thorn, a bloody rose
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow

Now I think I know what you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they're not listening still
Perhaps they never will

And if she asks you why you can tell her that I told you
That I'm tired of Castles in the Air
I've got a dream I want the world to share in castle walls
Just leave me to despair

Hills of forest green where the mountains touch the sky
A dream come true, I'll live there 'til I die
I'm asking you, to say my last goodbye
The love we knew, ain't worth another try

Save me from all the trouble and the pain
I know I'm weak but I can't face that girl again
Tell her the reasons why I can't remain
Perhaps she'll understand if you tell it to her plain

Oh, but how can words express the feel of sunlight
In the morning in the hills away from city strife
I need a country woman for my wife
I'm city born but I love the country life

For I can not be part of her "Cocktail-Generation Partner's Waltz,"
Devoid of all romance
The music plays and everyone must dance
I'm bowing out, I need a second chance

Save me from all the trouble and the pain
I know I'm weak but I can't face that girl again
Tell her the reasons why I can't remain
Perhaps she'll understand if you tell it to her plain

And if she asks you why you can tell her that I told you
That I'm tired of Castles in the Air
I've got a dream I want the world to share in castle walls
Just leave me to despair

[LIVE BLACK 505] Peniaga Tak Tutup Kedai, "Bila Polis Datang Kacau Baru Jadi Lain" -updated

Sekumpulan anak muda membawa beberapa kepingan kadbod yang antaranya tertera perkataan "SPR Sila Letak Jawatan", Democracy Is Dead" dan "SPR Should Resign".

Starry Starry Night: Current ANTHEM desiCated to VINCENT ~~ God blesseth His Soul!

THis dedication is also to mark a great artist -- like many artistes, meaning to include writers, singers and orchestra players -- then and now, who died a "pauper" despite his talent and the artworks worth millions POST-DEATH. Always a tragedy that God hath blesseth with natural talents, but often times, the worldfly world can be so unkind to such tortured souls, as was

I also desiCate this post to fellow artists "Huat", SC, cum-koboi k'OK Ng and knot so artsy BUT brudder-like buds Yap KN&YF and more recently acquired fellow PR fighters Harris Lee Ab & VINCENTLee -&BUMmers DPP, HelenH et al...:):) Keep the fire of idealism burning mGf awe, we shalt see Starry Starry Night after all/awe -- mayhaps cometh GE14 and DS Anwar Ibrahim shalt at least be PM for half a term. THat's all he needs to "clean" up the sick colours that muddy our Malaysian political landscape. We shall restore all the starry colours of soft green, yellow, red and BLUE, Desi' fave colour!:)
