I've never seen such an impressive action movie in my LIFE
8 December 2007 | by Dingataca (London, England) – See all my reviews
Having not seen the previous two in the trilogy of Bourne movies, I was a little reluctant to watch The Bourne Ultimatum.

However it was a very thrilling experience and I didn't have the problem of not understanding what was happening due to not seeing the first two films. Each part of the story was easy to understand and I fell in love with The Bourne Ultimatum before it had reached the interval! I don't think I have ever watched such an exquisitely made, and gripping film, especially an action film. Since I usually shy away from action and thriller type movies, this was such great news to me. Ultimatum is one of the most enthralling films, it grabs your attention from the first second till the last minute before the credits roll.

Matt Damon was simply fantastic as his role as Jason Bourne. I've heard a lot about his great performances in the Bourne 1+2, and now, this fabulous actor has one more to add to his list. I look forward to seeing more of his movies in the future.

The stunts were handled with style - each one was done brilliantly and I was just shocked by the impressiveness of this movie. Well done.

Lyrics

Extreme ways are back again
Extreme places I didn't know
I broke everything new again
Everything that I'd owned
I threw it out the windows, came along
Extreme ways I know
Will part the colors of my sea
perfect colored me

Extreme ways that help me
That Help me out late at night
Extreme places I had gone
But never seen any light
Dirty basements, dirty noise, dirty places coming through
Extreme worlds alone
Did you ever like it then?

I would stand in line for this
There's always room in life for this

Oh baby, oh baby
then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh baby, oh baby
then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh baby, oh baby
then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh baby, oh baby
like it always does, always does

Extreme sounds that told me
They helped me down every night
I didn't have much to say
I didn't give up the light
I closed my eyes and closed myself
And closed my world and never opened up to anything
That could get me at all

I had to close down everything
I had to close down my mind
Too many things could cut me
Too much can make me blind
I've seen so much in so many places
So many heartaches
So many faces
So many dirty things
You couldn't even believe

I would stand in line for this
It's always good in life for this

Oh baby, oh baby then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh baby, oh baby then it fell apart, it fell apart
Oh baby, (oh baby) oh baby (oh baby)
then it fell apart (feel apart), it fell apart (it fell apart)
Oh baby, (oh baby) oh baby (oh baby)
like it always does(always does), always does (always does)

THE 1MDB-PetroSaudi INTernational CONnection (a desi movie in progress?)

 NEWSbrEak from themalaysianinsider.com:~~

Swiss IT exec paid to leave PetroSaudi, denies 1MDB blackmail, say Thai cops

Swiss IT executive Xavier Andre Justo has denied blackmailing PetroSaudi International over 1Malaysia Development Berhad’s woes. – The Malaysian Insider file pic, June 24, 2015.
A Swiss IT executive was paid some RM15 million to leave PetroSaudi International but has denied asking for nearly RM10 million more in a blackmail attempt over 1Malaysia Development Bhd's (1MDB) woes, Thai media quoted police as saying.
The 49-year-old Xavier Andre Justo was arrested at a house on Koh Samui this Monday with computers, hard drives and other data storage devices, The Bangkok Post quoted police as saying.
Justo demanded 90 million baht (RM9.9 million) from the company in exchange for not disclosing confidential information to rival companies, said Police Colonel Akaradech Pimonsri, acting commander of the Crime Suppression Division.

He denied the allegations, police said. Justo worked for PetroSaudi, but was paid an equivalent of 140 million baht (RM15 million)to leave the company after he was found to have "behaved against the company's rules and regulations", added Pol Col Akaradech.
The Saudi energy company is a partner in 1MDB, the Malaysian strategic investor which has racked up debts of RM42 billion, and is now being restructured into three companies as part of a rationalisation effort to get rid of its debts. – June 24, 2015.

 JUST JUSTO 81
29 Jun 2015 | 1MDB

1. Some people are very excited about Justo. Now they say the critics of the Prime Minister should apologise. Apologise for what? The fact remains that vast amounts of money has disappeared. Can Justo bring all the money back?
2. Justo was dismissed and Petro Saudi gave him 15 million Ringgit. Is he being bribed or what? That is a handsome amount to pay an employee or director after he had done something wrong. Normally he would just be kicked out. But we are told he is not happy with this amount and demanded for more or else he would leak documents. What is the proof that he tampered with the documents or he has more incriminating documents. How does he negate the fact as admitted by the Prime Minister in a written reply to Parliament? He said that, “a US1.9 billion dollar loan from 1MDB to a subsidiary of Petro Saudi International Limited was in order to reduce the risk on the equity holding.” Giving a loan to a joint-venture partner who was found unsuitable as a JV partner would increase the risk, not reduce it.

3. When the JV was dissolved after only 6 months of its formation, it must be because 1MDB realised that the venture was bad. What it should do is to demand the equity and the loan amounting to US1.9 billion be returned. Instead it was converted into a loan (murabahah).

4. Having given this US1.9 billion loan, where is the money now? The Government has not clarified. Is it in Cayman Islands, or in Singapore or where. That amount of money cannot be shifted around without being recorded by the banks involved. Surely Najib knows. Yet the money has not returned.
5. Even if Justo tampered with the e-mail, it does not alter the fact that 1MDB forked out US1.9 billion to the JV with Petro Saudi, which within 6 months was so worthless that the JV was aborted. And after that the investment and the loan of US700 million was converted to a loan to a partner you no longer believe could deliver through the JV. You had some direct control over a JV, but not over the borrower.

6. So what has all this to do with Justo blackmailing Petro Saudi: N othing.

7. The supporters of the Prime Minister seem unable to understand that 1MDB borrowed 42 billion Ringgit to invest in shady businesses. In the process large amounts of money has disappeared.

8. It is not just about Petro Saudi or the JV. The money has been used to buy IPP at inflated prices. This is wrong. Attempts to sell to Tenaga have only cause Tenaga shares to fall. Unless the IPP are sold at a loss there is no way investments in Edra would give profits. But if the sale is at a loss 1MDB will face problems of paying debts.

9. The restructuring of 1MDB seems to be based on settling the 42 billion Ringgit loan.

10. The money is to come from the sale of TRX and Bandar Malaysian land. 1MDB paid extremely low price for this land. But can 1MDB do so?

11. The London Stock Exchange News Service reported that International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), Aabar Investments PJS entered into a binding term sheet with Minister of Finance Inc., Ministry of Finance and 1MDB for the following.

– IPIC on 4 June, 2015 provides US1 billion to 1MDB to utilise immediately to settle certain of its liabilities.

– Also on 4 June ’15 IPIC has assumed the obligation to pay all interest due under two IPIC guaranteed 1MDB financing accounting amounting to US3.5 billion (RM13.3 billion) in aggregate principal amounts.

12. For this takeover of the loans, on 30 June, 2016, IPIC is to receive transfer of assets with aggregate value of an amount which represent the sum of the cash payment (US1 billion or RM3.8 billion), and the assumption of the debt of US3.5 billion or RM13.3 billion.

13. IPIC has met the cash payment and will meet the interim interest payment.

14. Curiously no mention is made of what the 1MDB asset are which will belong to IPIC.

15. What are the possible assets? If it is the power plants or the land, it would mean that these assets no longer belong to 1MDB to sell. So how does 1MDB recover the RM42 billion it had borrowed?

16. Is Justo going to reveal there is anything worse than what the London Stock Exchange has revealed? So who needs to apologise?

He said Sultan Ahmad Shah's support as well as that of the people of his home state, Pahang, had strengthened his resolve to continue leading the country, despite attempts to "poison" his roots in his home ground.
"Some people are trying to threaten us. Some want to poison our roots, so we must make sure our tree continues to stand strong.

"Alhamdulillah, everyone supports us. Tuanku Sultan Ahmad Shah has also stated his stand from the beginning. "He said Pahang supports (me), from the sultan to the ordinary citizen," Najib told a crowd at the Royal Malaysian Air Force base in Kuantan, before departing for Kuala Lumpur.
Umno grassroots leaders had managed to mobilise some 12,000 youths, all dressed in black, for Najib's send-off at the airbase today.

Johor Sultan: Follow S’pore education system

JOHOR BARU: Follow Singapore’s education system with English as the medium of instruction.
This was the call by the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar (pix), at the opening ceremony of Johor state legislative assembly today.
“Singapore’s system has proven to be successful ... (it has) helped to unite the races (there),” he added.
“What we can emulate from Singapore is the unity which has been fostered by its single-stream education system which uses English language as the medium.
“I urge the people of Johor to be open-minded about the national education system and be willing to change for the prosperity of the people.
“I am confident a single stream school education system will produce a society that is united as well as competitive to face challenges to come,” the Sultan said.
He added that if the education system continues to be based on race and language, there will always be a gap between the diverse communities in Malaysia.
On the Goods and Services Tax (GST), Sultan Ibrahim said the state government should exempt local government services from the new tax regime.
“It is ridiculous to impose GST on local government services because it is the duty of local governments to render such services,” he said, adding that GST on local government services will only burden the rakyat.
The Sultan said he disagrees with the Johor Housing and Real Property Board Bill 2014, which was passed in June, last year.
He said if he approved the bill, it would not be in line with existing enactments which have been working well for a long time.
He asked the state assembly to make some amendments to the bill.
“The bill was amended because of pressure from ‘outsiders’ (orang luar) as people did not understand the role of the ruler in the Johor government.”
The ruler said the principle of “Johor must be Johor”(Johor mesti jadi Johor) should prevail.

"Do not blame the people for losing trust in you.”

Crown Prince of Johor not surprised at the prime minister’s decision to give public dialogue Nothing2Hide a miss.
tmj,dialog
JOHOR BAHRU: Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, joined the growing tide of criticism against Prime Minister Najib Razak for cancelling his attendance at this morning’s Nothing2Hide forum at the Putra World Trade Centre.
In a Facebook post on his usual platform, the Johor Southern Tigers, Tunku Ismail described the prime minister as a person with “everything to hide”, and said it was only natural that such a person would not show up at an event called “Nothing2Hide”.
“How can you have a dialogue called “Nothing2Hide” featuring a person who has everything to hide? Obviously he won’t show up,” he said.
“For those who have been entrusted with the responsibility, do not blame the people for losing confidence and trust in you, but think of why they no longer have the confidence and trust in you.”
****Najib had given the event a miss following instructions from Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar to have the event cancelled due to security concerns i.e. what Khalid explained as reports that two unruly and opposing groups were set to cause a ruckus there.
Khalid had explained in a press conference this evening at Bukit Aman that the other reason for the cancellation was the organisers’ inability to control the situation especially when an unknown man was arrested for ramming through the door of the venue.
“The organiser wasn’t able to control the situation, so I took the opportunity to stop this dialogue,” said Khalid.
He also explained that Najib was getting ready to leave his residence for PWTC but that upon his stern orders to turn back, Najib did not attend.

Tourism and Culture Minister, Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz indicated he would not be cowed by the Johor crown prince’s biting response to his criticism. — Picture by Yusof Mat IsaTourism and Culture Minister, Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz indicated he would not be cowed by the Johor crown prince’s biting response to his criticism. — Picture by Yusof Mat IsaKUALA LUMPUR, June 15 — Datuk Mohamed Nazri Aziz declared tonight that he would not be cowed into submission by the Johor crown prince’s biting response to his criticism, saying he had as much right to voice his opinion as the royal does.

Acknowledging HRH Brigadier General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim’s reminder to him that he was “not a God from the heavens”, Nazri pointed out to the young prince that he had neither declared himself a God nor has masqueraded as one to the public.

“I want to reply to him that I never said that I’m God. I’m a Muslim and my God is Allah,” he told Malay Mail Online tonight.

“I am answerable to the rakyat and to the system. So I won’t back down. I believe that I am right,” he added.

Nazri went on to remind Tunku Ismail that in a constitutional monarchy like Malaysia’s, members of the royal family should not dabble in politics.

“The royalty is above politics. I don’t think that I’m wrong... we’ve practiced this system since Independence. Until and unless we change it, this is my position,” he said.

Nazri added that he would not have criticised the prince if the latter had not insinuated that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak was guilty in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal.

Explaining this, Nazri pointed out that Tunku Ismail had alleged that Najib had “everything to hide” when the latter commented on the prime minister’s no-show at the recent “Nothing To Hide” forum.

“Those were his offensive words. If Tunku Ismail had merely said – I am very upset that PM didn’t turn up because it was an opportunity for him to speak to the rakyat – that would have been fair comment.

“But when you say that he has everything to hide... that is detrimental. It is saying that PM is guilty of all those allegations against him,” Nazri said.

The Johor royal had on June 5 weighed in on the “Nothing To Hide” forum that was cancelled at the last minute before a face-to-face confrontation between Najib and his harshest critic Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad over the prime minister’s controversial 1MDB project.

In his comment then, Tunku Ismail had said that inviting someone who allegedly has “everything to hide” to such a dialogue session would obviously result in a no-show.

He also said that those entrusted with the responsibility to answer to issues of national interest should not lay blame on the public if they lose their support but should ponder the reasons for such a loss.

Nazri later told the crown prince to stay out of politics, and was quoted saying in a Malaysiakini report last Saturday that “we will whack him”.

Earlier today, Tunku Ismail issued a response on the Facebook page of the Johor Southern Tigers where he told Nazri that, “You are a minister, not a God from the heavens who lord above everybody”.

****The royal also told Nazri that everyone has the right to voice their opinion although he said that this does not appear to be the case in Malaysia today as ministers here appear to think themselves “untouchable”.
