HAPPINESS is ...

To do justice to my sifu, I humbly start off The Day After's rambling with a d'litefool poem from Max Ehrmann:

HAPPINESS

To be without desire is to
be content. But contentment is not
happiness. And in contentment
there is no progress. Happiness is
to desire something, to work
for it, and to obtain at least a part
of it.
In the pursuit of
beloved labour the busy days pass
cheerfully employed, and
the still nights in peaceful sleep.
For labour born of desire is
not drudgery, but manly play.

Success brings hope, hope
inspuires fresh desire, and desire
gives zest to life and joy
to labour. This is true whether your
days be spent in the palaces
of the powerful or in some little
green by-way of the world.
Therefore, while yet you have
the strength, cherish a desire to do
some useful work in your
little corner of the world, and
have the steadfastness to labour.

For this is the way to the
happy life; with health and
endearing ties, it is the way to the
glorious life.

For other approximations to what da World of Happiness is, see if you spy It here, pieced from various nu'es items today, but I won't quote the sources becos sometimes, you've to LOOK FOR IT:

To ALL EsteemedReaders:

I apologise for some "fowl" language in my preceding warning to SIX cowardly commenters who "spammed" under guises long "postings" in a short span clearly well coordinated and with bad intent.
Maybe I need to re-think if I should start WORD VERIFICATION, a measure I have long restrained myself from implementing.
Sometimes I think some Malaysians never grew up from their baby days of suckling at pig's anus and snake's venom without realising they couldn't eject them out because they lack a certain hole! OR it had moved up to their head, if they had one in the first or last place!

peAce to my Regular Visitors,
you know Desi is not in his usual self, YES!:)
