Thanks to an alert Reader's watch and quick response, I hope not much "damage" is done in "misinformation" by way of wrong attribuution in Desiderata's precedent post at 12.01 am July 8 titled "I think, therefore I am."
LUKE rightly pointed out that the philosophical quote, "Cogito, ergo sum" originated from Rene Descartes (1596-1650). I confirmed from one source "The New Webster's International Encyclopedia" that Descartes, French mathematician, scientist, philosopher, indeed was the author of this now famous phrase in Meditations on First Philosophy (1641).
