Have a Huckleberry Fan nu'e year!

A relatively youngish EstemedReader Moses Foo caught up with Desi in Furong a few days back/front, and VVe realise that even olde newshound Desi, in reality much younger than Moses -- okay in spirit-lah! -- has a few sIrprises from The Man From Mantin.

Slightlya li'l more handsome Than the host, I treated him wit' lots of Lingam's tehtarik, and some goin' and kambin', and he broke into greAtings to Desi&co.
He reminds me of my schooldie revelry, when we had much time to stand and stare
(plagiarising -- shoo me! -- a littel from Leisure, from WH Davies hear!):

VVe have time to shake a new friend's hands
and delight in his/her company
his/her sharing not bought
okay, wit' a tehtari' and soul-sought

So today I wish awe my ER, and some strollers who may be LOST and happen at
My Blue Haven -- you may want to drop a check on the way out to help me reach that

"A WONDERFUL HUCKLEBERRY FINN FAN NEW YEAR 2008!"

Inspired by Moses' li'l reminder:

"I just want to wish all of us, men and women of goodwill, the joy and pleasure of Huckleberry Finn down the mighty Missisippi, enjoying the carefreeness of woods, forests, fishes, the great outdoor and a moment of nonetocareabout to preserve our sanity, even if it means just a moment of madness."

myGOoDfriends awe, before you adjourn to Paris for Breakfast, hear's to:

Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961)

"Moon River"
music by Henry Mancini, lyrics by Johnny Mercer
Hear Audrey Hepburn sing (check-lah, for Desi!, a .MP3 file).

Moon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some day.

Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.

Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.

We're after the same rainbow's end--
waiting 'round the bend,

my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.
