whisper'd hope

the new born babe
cries from natural want
the lass smiles
from lad's stolen glance

the kid dances on dainty feet
mum has bought her new Bata shoes
youth in their idealistic dreams
powdered romance and shared ice and other creams
whispers of hope for the future

don't seek hope in the leader's promise
giving thee a present with his left hand
and in the other wielding the keris
He wants thy lips his a'se to kiss

the oil money is syphoned off
in the steal of the morning light
that's why you must accept that
when the world oil price rises
there is also a jump in local pump prices
yet when the world oil price tumbles
don't expect local price to fall
"we need the money to build our small houses"

so young friend of mine
Cooperate with Him if you must
Collaborate too if you need that job
but beware when he dangles that juicy carrot
He wants to Copulate thee
buy thy soul
help bend the rules
thy giving in to temptation
He wins over you
woe of woes

so tonight say your prayers
that your spirit and soul remain strong
don't give an inch to the Iblis' song

then there is yet hope
in the midnight whispers of
a babe's cries
a young lass' smile
a young man's bosom void of guile

there is hope yet,
fellow malaysians
not soul'd to UMNO
MCA, MIC and their cant
of
wine, women and song
where Iblis lurk
and Pemimpin and pimps belong
