An item of consequence was sighted in The People's Paper buried on page N30.
I couldn't find similar coverage in The NST -- UMNO-controlled daily, hence the root cause of OMISSION (of significant MEDIA event) which is as great a SIN as COMMISSION (of a bad deed), but WHO's DESI to play vanguard.
But writers are a special breed of humans -- to my mind as a scribe, you from other fields can BEG TO DIFFER for all I care, or careth not if you cometh with malice and an AP attitude. Here AP is short for Agent Provocateur of which I have had the misfortune of encountering a "few" in this short life in Blogosphere. There could be "more" who linger subtly in dark rannies and corners Desi has not been able to identify -- mayhaps the guiding principle I sometimes adopt "IGNORANCE is BLISS" is a saving grace so that I don't have to look over my shoulders, even in the amorphous cyberworld.
Today I was happy to receive a Comment from a blogsworld matey now terrestrial friend who I hope to count among "my mistleTOES" since Christmas is dawning. This visitor calls himself Dreamer Idiot, but I have often chided him he is Dreamer BUTT NOT IDIOTIC. Hence I briefed him as DreamerI,implying mayhaps Desi is of a similar cut.
The idiots dwell in "small" houses and a few are in the bicameral chambers (Visit tengchangkhim.blogspot.com if you need to ask what "bicamercal" means ... OK; you can't rely on Desi in giving thee flee English tuition (There is no such thing as a free lunch, Helen reminds...) because not every day is a Sundae!:) THere are many Idiots dwelling in certain bicameral houses, described variously as "august" versus Monkey House versus Da Zoo or Da Circus. If you know noth what the foregoing DDC is, consult the horst@allofhelen.blogspot.com who sometimes sees through Desi although I wear winter clothings and try to hide at a particular corner.
Okay, nuff of DIGRESSION which is a practised privileged of some blardy Bloggers.
Well, if fellow Bloggers don't wish to enjoy this privilege, don't be envious of Desi and Gang, K! because unlike NEP privileges, Bloggers' P is available to every Tom, Dick and Harry as long as you know how to use It sparingly save Desi!:(
Now, where was I?
Oh yes, DreamerI came into consciousNURSE this AM as Desi was feeling lONEly.

Nice updates over the past days on local media - of teh-si and roti kaya on the side (also, the connotation of simple language for commonfolks like me).
Where are the slurpy, soft, runny eggs with soya sauce and extra pepper to taste? (I guess, there are not good for health :(
Keep writing.

dreamerI;
Hi dreamer-poet matey -- Your lonely ride from the eastern horizon brings forth sunshine amidst the stormy weather.
peppery additive eh? Be carrefool -- some Datuk wants to serve IT to the face, and mine is not so thick to withstand such a "small" serving as my kitchen and master bedroom and all other 2 rooms are located on one ground-level floor.
PS: Whe is thy next trip down KL/Furong mazey hazey way, I know it's winter at same places, but It's always springtime in Seremban Valley -- jest five-stone throw away if thou an astroNUT be!:)

Then there is another recent Blogger-newbie to Desi's Place from@jelas.info who I deem a fellow Dreamer, No, definitely NOT Idiotic. Visit Nathaniel Tan on his Kampung Berembang, Ampang, crusade with lots of pictorial coverage for consecutive days, LIVE from the scene of action.
Here's a Dreamer in Action. SALUTE!
And he's constantly looking out for "demons" in "small houses" who come on strongly against the mosquitoes in "large" mansions. Viz:

Just got back, here’s the situation when i left. (I have photos of all described below, and will upload as soon as i can).
By about noon: The surau was demolished in a most sacreligious and offensive manner. I was told that the JAIS (Selangor Religious Department) had some protestors arrested for calling the invaders kafirs :|
During lunch, the MPAJ happily had their lunch inside the few shelters still standing in the kampung. After they had eaten nicely, the proceeded to tear down those same structures - including the ones some of us helped put up on Sunday.
MPAJ also started carting away belongings - furniture, appliances, anything that was of any value. Just loaded them up unto trucks like common thieves. MPAJ office short on supplies and furniture issit?
After that, they proceeded to tear down the better set-up tents, which were put up over cement. They just carted everything out, tore off the tarpaulin covers, and then brought in their mighty back hoe.
There was one incident where in an act of defiance, a few girls refused to get off their mattress, even as their cloth roof had been torn up and the few planks acting as walls destroyed. Even with the huge ass back hoe looming over them, the girls did not move and MPAJ officers had to drag the mattress out - in a most biadap manner, might I add.
While they continued to wipe out any semblence of structure, there was one incident in which a villager overreacted and tried to launch himself into the back hoe cab to harass the driver - of course the police dragged him down, and the situation nearly escalated, but supporters managed to calm the situation down.
The MPAJ also made clear their intent to destroy all 3 access roads into the kampung, which would make the place virtually inaccessible. When I left, they hadn’t started work on this yet, but they were already towing cars out of the ‘parking lot.’
These were horrible things to witness. That simple families should experience such destruction is tragic; that it should be inflicted upon them by people who live in comfort and luxury is a most heinous injustice.
Wait for the documentation - it’s guaranteed to shock. For now, try malaysiakini.tv, tvpas.com and this article. I’ll start pointing to the rest soon."

Human chain fails to stop demolition of surau
KUALA LUMPUR: About 30 squatters linked hands and blocked the entrance to a surau in Kampung Berembang, Ampang, here to prevent its demolition by local authorities yesterday.
Some 100 other squatters were heard crying and shouting at Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) enforcement officers, as they forced their way through the human barrier. In the end, the structure was demolished.
The squatters of Kampung Berembang went all out in their final struggle against the complete demolition of the village as the surau was the last structure standing.
The villagers had earlier sent their children to the surau to prevent the officers from damaging the building. The children were evacuated when the officers managed to break through their ranks.
About 300 officers from the MPAJ, Selayang Municipal Council, Sepang Municipal Council, the FRU and the police turned up to assist in the demolition.
As the MPAJ officers took down the fence of the surau, many squatters attacked the officers. Ten villagers were arrested.
The demolition of Kampung Berembang began on Nov 17 when the villagers refused to move out despite having received eviction notices since November 2005.
The MPAJ had issued notices for the squatters to move to Taman Muhibbah, Puchong, and Taman Wahyu, Jinjang, while low-cost houses were being built in Kampung Berembang.
At the MPAJ full board meeting yesterday, its president Mohammad Yacob said that the local authority would remain firm in its decision to demolish any building constructed illegally in Kampung Berembang.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DESI: One question to Mohammad Yacob ~~ Did your Boss Khir Toyo not inform you that you should follow precedent as not practise DOUBLE STANDARDS? Are you so idiotc as to be uninformed that the small illegally-built "houses" of Datuk Zakaria&Co in the royal city of Klang still remain as firm on terra cotta as promised by you that "...local authority would remain firm in its decision to demolish any building constructed illegally in Kampung Berembang"?
In closing, I would like to draw inspiration from the first DreamerI. Desi re-visited this critique
which carries a relevant mesage, and I borrow from one
of several joint-hosts @puisi.poesy.blogspot.com
to ponder his closing paragraphs, marked ******* when reviewing the following poem:
Wednesday, September 27, 2006
"Do not go gentle into that good night"
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on that sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
*******"Such a haunting poem…
Although the poem is ostensibly about physical death, it easily moves beyond its literal sense, to metaphorical ‘death’ or ‘loss of vision’that one goes through and experience. It becomes deeply moving or personal for the individual reader, and here lies the power of this poem, or any great poetry at all, for that matter."*******
DESIDERATA pondered over the question of "metaphorical death or loss of vision",
and suggest that in recent happenings in the most developed State in NegaraKU, I discern there are many IDIOTS and a few Dreamers who abound SElangor surrounds. I hope God will do justice to the category epitomised by Datuk Zakaria Md Deros' and Company, famous for his DZ Satay House now taken down after a long grace period but leaving his four-storey palatial mansion IN TACT, along with two fellow Councillors with privileged bloodlines? -- deemed by certain parties as "small" and hence allowed to thrive and prosper.
I also pray the Good Lord will protect in contrast that category who watched in hapless helplessness the demolition of some 50 Kampong Beremban squatter dwelligs (deemed as "BIG" housed?) leading to the climax taking down of the surau. Is there some "metaphoric" demonstration in a house of worship representing the fall and plight of the depressed and deprived in the community because of a lack of Good Men around NegaraKu?
***Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.****
AS I end this piece, I will continue to ponder,
Yes, I can't go gently into the night.
Dreamers you and I,
We aren't that shy.
Haha, why tell people I visited. I actually shy one ler.
Yup, i saw the news too in the papers, though sometimes I prefer to avoid because of the bad news (but I end up reading anyway)
It's good that you scour and tap your different sources for info, because though no 'news' is good news, there are also times, when no nems means 'news' barred.
Not much 'sunshine' cheer from my corner... there's rain, unlike last year, so people can have a real 'monsoon' cup. I didn't go and see though. At least some promo for eastern side which needs some money and development, otherwise all young pp have to go west for jobs. Money well spent, not too sure, but there's a little bit of 'shower' and spillover effect for local businesses.
go to kl? I have a 'summons' soon, so will be there for my good friend.
wah, long comment this time, not usual when I visit quietly, but we will indeed not go gentle into that good night. we will live and sing our best, and have a cup of teh-si or kopi, whichever your taste is.
will catch up again some other time
:)
This is not a law thesis but social-political case.
The squatter illegally build the house. They fail to acquire legal status after so many years. So the law is used and destroy the squatter house legally. Legal but without justice.
Question : What is the real objective of the law.
I hold my opinion, as in my blog : When Hitler signing the letter to execute 4 millions Jews in gas chambers Jews, it is legal under Nazi regime.
dreamerI:
so glad we are both shy -- so we steal peeps in the steel of the K-night.
i'm glad there are springs of waters i could drink and tap -- for sharing and wider circulation. If money doe not flow N-S-E-W, yes esp to neglected "east", the nation's economy would not bud poets and poetics like from US, yes? We shall not live on sunshine, air and teh-see alone. We sometimes welcome the monsoon rains.
like visitors in da steal of the night, desi joins another dreamer-eye in search of malaysian brotherhood. Sisters too-lah, from "bloody men indeed!"
moo_t:
you're so right! unlike Desi on the left!
it's these Idiots (no insult to mGf from the 'east') of sham politikus who "selectively" choose their victims in the name of the law.
Then the law is an ass, and these politkus are the first class ASSes!
Now let's climb onto semi-valued bullock kart to take us to DreamerI's A-bode for some poetry, cun?
