Spiaking in Tongue?

On certain unfortunate Sundays in the past, I had had experienced some charismatic pastors aking all those who did not have the GIFT of speaking in tongue to raise their hands. I enjoyed surveying the surroundings, and in one session, two pairs of waving hands would appear, alike four palm trees dancing in the desert wind. Some blogger somewhere in Ipoh whom I knew later by the luvly name of Helen confessed the twin pairs of hands belonged to her and her Significant Other. I was then amused.

This morning it was DEja VU -- no, I did not catch It at the cineplex nearest you. I saw It buried in the desert called The Star page 4 beneath not the palm trees but the picture of one Abdullah having a word with Abdul Rahhim in Penang.
The caption of a pass-sized photo had one Abdul Ghani: "Datuk Onn has left a heritage which is priceless".

I read

and read2
and read3
and read 4, "four" is pronounced as "Sei"
in Kantonis meaning Die-lah!

And I thought my English was nigh Shakespearean,okay, mayhaps Max Ehrmann, prone to erring ways;
but Ghani's codeine was way, way beyond Da Desi Code.

So Dear ESteemedReaders, please read through and thorough the following news report at last FOUR TIMES, then tell Desi what it is all about.
I'd give thee three goblets of tehtarik -- in Au, Ag and Pt -- if you succeed in explaining the esteemed politician's mumbo jumbo. which is equivalent to Spiaking in Dung since he was not speaking in church.

"I remain your humble student -- can help Desi in learning Malaysian MB's English?"

Ghani on why people cannot accept concept

JOHOR BARU:
Any concept similar to that of a Bangsa Malayan under the Malayan Union is unacceptable, and this includes the idea of a Malaysian Malaysia.

(DESI: First para itself contains four UNDEFINED "terms" as highlighted by Desi, so how to proceed?)

In making this point, Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said if people understood why a Bangsa Malayan was rejected during Umno founder Datuk Onn Jaafar’s leadership, they should also realise why any concept akin to it could not be accepted.

“It is about everything being equal and this does not capture the hearts of Malaysians.

“Therefore, regardless of whatever name is given, the concept is similar and this is against idea kenegaraan (the idea of nationhood) which we have inherited,” he said yesterday when launching the five-day Datuk Onn National Conference at Persada Johor.

Abdul Ghani, who is also Johor Umno chairman, said in the name of globalisation, the people had been asked to accept universal principles and this had meant a denial of idea kenegaraan.

The people, he added, must be brave in delving into the differences between idea kenegaraan and a Malaysian Malaysia because the people were now facing a “clash of ideas.”

“If we do not stand firm in our struggle and emphasise the essence of nationhood, which is already so clear, this might change the concept of nationalism, not only in the economic arena but also in politics, religion, culture and language.

“As such, we cannot be lackadaisical or be influenced without first examining a new idea.” Abdul Ghani said idea kenegaraan had not only been applied effectively for the past 50 years but was still relevant to the country today.

“We, as Malays, and even the non-Malays, should admit that Datuk Onn’s idea kenegaraan should be inherited and practised,” he said.

“This is the idea that has united the Malays, and also the same idea that has given privileges to other races to be citizens, live together and share power and prosperity.”

“Datuk Onn has left a heritage which is priceless and should be used as a guide for all generations,” he added.

DESI: Maybe as a last resort, I will SOS The Star Editorial team -- do they understand what they writHe?
Blardy hell, I spent one precious Ringgit and blardy two precious 10-sen for this newspaper. Can I get a re-fun ?

kenegaraan = euphemism for his daulat concept left over from the feudal days

also, he can't seem to understand kenegaraan translates to the same - ie national identity - so malaysia is our nation so MALAYSIA la!!

Did you see or read a report about the go men considering the possiblity of mandatory legal registration for bloggers, like those who build the great (fire)wall of china to block stuff? Not sure if I am dreaming...

If it's true, dark days ahead... and you would have to 'migrate' and speak in tongues (at least friends still may still 'hear')

gtg... getting busy with some personal project, will catch you again in better times.

You got IT right in the bull's eye -- their brains were misplaced when they went for some simple surgery, or dental treatment?

Nowadays, there is NO LAW!

Only SIL or DIL.

The law is half-broke and no one is minding the store.
The roof leaks and they send a dental surgeon and an academic over to fix It.
So they bantered, beat around the bush
And finally a storm breaks, and lightning strikes:

Maybe we have an AP ending ala-
Good riddance to bad rubbish, eh?
