The ongoing tussle between Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and ex-Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad seems to have distracted everyone from the more important issue and what is really at stake here. As one American President once said, "It's the economy, stupid!"
We, the Malaysian public, urge the Prime Minister to refocus and address what is crucial and important to most Malaysians: solving the problem of the economy -- which is going to get worse over the next two years with Globalisation and the FTA looming over the horizon.
What is the point of an NEP when 100% of zero equals zero? Enlarge the cake first before talking about how to share the cake. That is what needs addressing more than squabbling over who gets what."

Nobody cares what's the NEP. I don't care if the NEP makes whoever rich or had distributed wealth to anyone, for that matter. What we are concerned is the fact of deprivation arising out of discrimination and discriminatory acts by those in power.
For that matter, I am not seeking favours, handouts, or any forom of gravies and goodies in the basence of effort and merit. I am seeking that the government will have a duty to uplift the economic status of the Malays are doing it justly, applying fair and equitable rules, did not ever deprive any citizens of their rights enshrined in the constitution, and did not rob those who are competent and deserving, and put in place, the incompetent UMNOputeras, corrupt and predators.
However, the true empirical evidence and happenings are inverse. Look at the CLP exam and local university graduates differentiation. More than 95% of CLP students are non-Malays and more than 80% of local U graduates are....????? Do they mean those who graduate with LLB from prestigious U such as University of London and Australian U are inferior to those from UiTM, UPM, UKM, MU? Talk to a judge or magistrate who graduate from local U; you will know the facts!!!!
