Cometh NATHANIEL TAN

from jelas.info in the steal of the (lust) night.

I believe Nat knows Desi was on 24 leave yesterday when All my troubles seemed so many bytes away ... He logged in at Desi's Comments and on paying a return courtsey call (I always do for all maiden-visitors here or "first-timers') at his abode, I'm happy to find a scribe who has all the traits and fire to make good in journalism. But take it from an older newshound (Jurassic Fark?), BePrepared for some hard times, but it comes along with the soft touches of GalGuides!

I'm reproducing the opening paragraphs of his Post on the Kampung Berembang Saga still in the making, and he has more interesting, time-consuming, updates! Good work, matey!:)

"Naming Names: Seeing whose big money is behind the Kampung Berembang demolitions"

"Someone gave me a few leads re: who the Kampung Berembang developers are, and I decided to follow them up.

The internet tells us that regarding the development of the land where once the 60 houses of Kampung Berembang stood, home to normal decent Malaysians, these parties were involved: Perspektif Masa Sdn Bhd, Cahaya Kelang Construction (which is a subsidiary of Acmar International - probably the primary culprit), and the Selangor State Government.

Since there are so many capable YoungOnes in blogosphere (I guess this Nat is Y&A like johnleemk, 17-going-16...sisdar Helen wants to confirm, Too bad you're no Mrs Brown who has got a lovely daughter...)
Desi is mulling a change of occupation. Can't stand the stress of the competition. Furthermore, I think I need more "kaya" than plain butter on my Bread, though often enough some well-intentionaed mates remind:

Man shall not live on bread alone...

So true, he can sometimes do with some roast turkey, red wine and you've got in, womanly Mantin curry fishhead. You wanna Desi to lead theee dare? No problemo -- jest bring along thy Pt kad! Don't desert me now, stay for Desserts: Kuih-muih Melaka dan CafeRoseSerieCino! Ooops, I forgot Haridas' tehtarik which they are planning to fry into outa space.

Okay, back to change of occupation.

I refrain from usig the term "profession" because Desi does not qualify.
The oldest one requires height 177, svelte body like Ursula Undres coming out of Ocean Blue; and always, sweet21-going-on-20.
The second oldest is for the likes of Close-On-eEye MP for Jasin and ADUN Datuk Z and ilk-wise councilmen -- one mGf calls them slime balls. I understand the rolling spehre, but slime? I always thought my lime juice is a thirst quencher and not slithery like a sanke.
So as a Wakil Rakyat in NegaraKu is oouuchh! My Opposition mates will kill me and I;m not from Catsville though I have friends hailing from nigh that neighbourhood. A good place to retire too. Wonder if I can get a work pewrmit or knot?

Okay maybe switch to being a tradesman.
Like a pilot, or bar-man, they are some of the happiest people around, according to a "missing" news report I read on my off-colour day yesterdie. Truth be told, I left the freebie in a matey's limousin as I was chauffered around to lunch with a diplomat. Who is the stewpid guy who says
"There is no such thing as a free lunch..."?

Piloting? The closest I went near the plan'es streering wheels was on a heli-fright from Kuchig to Bakun Dam(p?) to cover the ground-breaking ceremony by former PM then Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad, as guest of then high-flying Ting Pek King. All through the flights (to and fro, you see -- you don't expect me to swim back to shore, do you? I had a deadline to meet, otherwise, I'd be 'riting history, not nu'es ... thought something I could not writHe then, truly herSTORY:() My lips became sealed, or stuck, because I visited FAshionistA and awe she offered was lipstick on my collar, and everywhere else which sticks.Back from digression -- all through the day (I don't think I would sirvive a night fright!) trips I was saying a prayer that the whirring-sound of the heli engine would not suddenly go elegantly silent! (THank God, ISAmen it didn't, otherVice, Desi would not be around to pamper/hammer you now:)

Okay, as to the alternative as a bar-man.
By constitution (not the Federal, my personal-lah, why you so dumb wan?), I would turn first red indian red on five sips of the beer, then lobster red on the s'xth, and I'm in h'aven or sunset red on the se7enth, how?

No, no. Then as a business reporter, I remember you can list an asset.
The Star says a .... is an ASSSET.(Yeah, I saw it one day thus spelt, well captured by one fellow or fella Blogger.)
Yeah, I think I have proven myself a sort of celebratty writer, got nominated to wan BlogAsiaAwards and when Desiderata's name was announced, there was such loud cacopphony of protests the organisers and protesters got arrested. I heard protesting at such an international event is a non-bailable offence. So things are at a standstill. So I think I will look at Sit-Down Comedy as fallback.

I look at myself. Yes, most times I am seated in front of the PC. Comedic it is because sh**! I keep on blogging with a stubborn head/s everyday even when I am not paid for it. ("head" could be in plural because one not-so-agreeable colleague scofffs that mine has a swollen side while besides the one beside it is a normal "small" one. "Small" as not defined by Datuk Z&RoyalCo.)

Well, so I have run out of options but stay put in front of my PC. I spin some nonsense to MSM then from my idiotic posts (Comments too, but better you not know it or you'll shout Plagiarism! like the Internet Cafe is on fire... Api, Api! for Shoot, Shoot! Desi before he runs out of the Cafe with 20million:(

Okay, about listing, I have a good plan if you ER are as devoted as you seem to be -- always behaving like OLIver, OLIvia, OLIvetti! a typically Helen arseking for More! Masochistic Malsians.

I've tried to sell medIIIIsin that I'm a democart, didn't I? I admit I tried to live life as a socialist democrat but gives in to bourgeosie Sundae's temptation of a CON BF or two. But I believe even a Commie governor once a w'ile sreals a peck or two, even doing a threesome (For the meaning of this triosome, consult brother JoePsc from the little dot. Kiasi or kiasu, it's okay to be a little, so said Royal Professor Ungku Aziz if I remember correctly reading my MSM yesterday, when all my troubles...)

As I was saying, I could list my assset as a Flawed Democrat @desiderata2000.blogspot.com, with an IPO of 20million shares at RM1 apeace.
For the uninitaited with no Datuk friends, an IPO is INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING when a supposedly potentially growing company offers to share its goodies with the public (a sucker born every second?) giving the successfool applicant an CDS account with a unique number stating that you hold a LOT of Desiderata shares for a farsighted investment of RM1,000.

Now I can wait out my MOratorium Period (usually one year), then cash out with 20millio to but that dream I-LAND to create and carve out OUR (Kami, Kamu, FA!)

Did I say flawed or fraud democrazy?

From theSun Nov 23, 2006:

Malaysia 81 on list of flawed democracies

Malaysia is a "flawed democracy" and falls nearly at the bottom of the list, below Mongolia, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Indonesia, Timor Leste and Palestine in a new Democracy Index developed by the Economist Intelligence Unit.

The index, which is available in The Economist's annual publication The World in 2007, grades 167 countries out of 192 independent states according to their degree of democracy.

The index looks at 60 indicators across the five categories of electoral process and pluralism, civil liberties, the functioning of government, political participation, and political culture.

Countries are spread across four regime types Ð full democracies (28 countries), flawed democracies (54), hybrid regimes (30) and authoritarian regimes (55).

"Sweden leads the pack with a near-perfect score followed closely by Iceland and the Netherlands.

"By contrast, the United States (ranked 17th), Britain (23rd) and France (24th) are near the bottom of the full democracy category," a press statement from The Economist said.

South Africa leads the "flawed democracy" category at 29th position, followed by South Korea at 31, Taiwan 32, India 35, Mongolia 56, Sri Lanka 57, the Philippines 63, Indonesia 65, Timor Leste 65, Bangladesh 75, Hongkong 78 and Palestine 79.

Malaysia ranks 81, sharing the spot with Bolivia at the bottom of the category.

The statement said "flawed democracies" were concentrated in Latin America and eastern Europe.

"Many of these countries remain fragile democracies. Levels of political participation are generally very low and democratic cultures are weak," it said.

Malaysia, however, remains ahead of Singapore (84), Thailand (90) and Cambodia (105) which fall under the "hybrid regimes" category, of which Iraq (112) anchors.

Pakistan (113) tops the list of "authoritarian regimes" while North Korea ranks last. In between are China (138), Vietnam (145), Laos (155) and Myanmar (163).

The Economist said more than half of the world's population lived in a democracy of some sort, although only 13% reside in full democracies.

"Despite the advances in democracy in recent decades, almost 40% of the world's population still live under authoritarian rule," it said.

It added that after decades of progress, the most recent global trends in democratisation have been negative, signalling a pause in the spread of democracy.

DESI: See the listing of my ASSET is timely/dimely.
Who says "migration" should be your option of immediate resort.
Don't be so desperate.
Worse comes to the worst, you can become a gate-keeper.

Datuk Zakaria rose from the humble rank of rail gatekeeper to Selangor State Assemblyman, wat!

Also, another Datuk Ong says, wat? RM20million for gatekeeping!
Desi also wants that job! Though moo_t and mGf@maverickysm.blogspot.com -- where I also stole from his RM20 storehouse -- are the competition!

MAS, the $20m Gatekeeper

MASKargo senior general manager Datuk Ong Jyh Jong said they were merely the “zone authority” for the complex.

“We don’t own Kompleks Kargo Udara Kedua. Our task there is gatekeeping, ensuing the goods passing the zone have all the right documentation and those who work there are authorised personnel.”

DESI's butting shot: I know some of you are auditioning for MU's goolkeeping vacancy, I know one froggie Da Fergie wella, do you need my intro? The usual, 30% CON...

Fraud Democracy? No, not really. And the survey said Malaysia ahead of Singapore? I don't think the measure the facts and evidential elements; they probably measure the rhetorics and with the presumption that MCA and Gerakan represented the other races.

Democracy despise marginalisation and discrimination and what more, it's in its transparent form and broadcast worldwide.

you deserve my commendation because seldom have I come across Y&A giving such time and focused energy to community causes and concerns.

no 'boss" in Desi cos there are dwelling in Small houses in royal towns like Klang while we commoners
are still living in "tree houses" if you believe the councilmen and their children and their children's spuses.

Luckily we still have a pair of I-I which still see. God-fearing ones always use God's gifts wisely. DEsi is just one God's child, you2!:):)
