In this almost three-year cyber journey, I re-learnt the (HE)art of making new friends. You might have grown up wit'mates from the schooldays going back a decade, two or three.

If you honestly tell the world, you have very few of schoolmates you would call "buddies. But in blogosphere, you win some "buddies" in a shorter time. Because in reading someone's writes, you either connect -- call it having chemistry if you will -- and soon you interact more, and become "buddies" (as flower blooms from a bud) or you don't, so you move on. Please note that I am bolding (THUS) many words I have been using a special licence, or put bluntly, abusing of the Queen's English, because if you can't be a king of the language, try to be a Raja Rojak and earn yourself a mention in that book of records that Malaysians are known the world over four! (4 as in four corners of the world when it's still believed by many locals here that the world is indeed flat, beating Thomas Friedman to his claim, nyet, except the smart Americano newsdog became a millionaire putting thoughts to words). The Bard and others like Wordsworth, Lord Tennyson, Ehrmann and the Brownings used it as POETIC LICENCE,and Desi is an imitator. As they say, Imitation is the best form of flattery.
Earlier this week, I had used the word *badder in a jestfool way, teasing my EsteemedReaders ("Hear cometh ER,make way, we have an accident case!".
Example: on ++wedNURSEday, "I sent the following Email to the Director of MC late evening yesterday (hey, see this Journalist works for thee, my dear ER, free and on overtime. Can you spare me a dime for tehtarik then, buddy? *Badder steal, write Desi a cheque for 20million!

I had meant to take Blogging as a fun-D activity, plucking off fellow Bloggers' gems off their gard'nern(Primroses, in Supreme Gardnern yaeh yah yeah?) in the steal of the night, in line with my belief that goode writings must be universally shared.
A late bloomer at Desi's Place who called himself Moses FooL minus the L -- because not everyday is April 1st, and I don't think his Mum still serves him Everydae milk! -- had chickily asked Desi to draw up a Grocery list describing my chai tan of DDC(Da Desi Code -- go aRskE da hoRst of allofhelen.blogspot.comto explain this nomenclature!). In DDC, it should read aweofhelen, but then you'd be led to a deadend, and that would make your Sundae prety wickedwan.
So how to justify using *badder in place of better as the comparative form of good?

Merdeka Centre's Response Came Fast
Minus the Fury as brother Blogger Doc Mave played the messenger. No, I didn't shoot him though he came in the steal/middle of the night (1.20am to be exact!), and Desi does not have Vision 2020. Lucky him!:)
Back to serious mode, my Yahoo! mail has recently suffered an avalanche of Spam! So I believe the official Merdeka Centre's reply tomy Email got LOST. No,Desi was not shortlisted for audition, so I did not get to meet Ibrahim Suffian of Merdeka Centre.
A big "Thank You" to Ibrahim for swift response, but ... (+++Read my sarcasm later, Miss Patience is also Virtuous,OK!)

++ I wonder why The Star did not (I peeped at the Saudara's copy the past two days!) carry any CORRECTION or APOLOGY since the "mistake" was made. Do they take Consumers so lightly in the mistaken notion that "People would just move on and forget about the Issue"?
I fully support Ibrahim Suffian's letter, especially this paragraph which is self-explanatory:

The Minister of Propaganda-ganda Wang Anda, a lonely
datuk, would have been mighty proud yesterday to read

This should have been uploaded yesterday, but since

most part of te wickedend,my counsellor Mr Coww
insisted he help wash away my wayward ways so that I
do not stray too far away from the heavenly path. I
quietly appreciate his good intentions, though I also

‘No’ to street protests
Majority support use of laws to preserve harmony
PETALING JAYA: A large majority of Malaysians are
against street protests and have backed the
government’s decision to use the laws to stop anyone
from threatening racial peace and harmony.
This was revealed in a survey conducted by the Merdeka
Centre from Dec 17 to 21.
Eight hundred and sixty one respondents from
throughout the country, who were randomly selected
along the lines of state of residence, ethnicity,
gender and age (21 and above) were interviewed over
the telephone for the survey.
To a question on whether the Government should use all
the legal means it has to stop individuals and groups
from threatening racial peace and harmony, 73% agreed
to such a tough stance.

the two illegal demonstrations in Kuala Lumpur – 54%

many members of the Fifth Estate to boycott several of

++ I wonder why The Star did not (I peeped at the Saudara's copy the past two days!) carry any CORRECTION or APOLOGY since the "mistake" was made. Do they take Consumers so lightly in the mistaken notion that "People would just move on and forget about the Issue"?
I fully support Ibrahim Suffian's letter, especially this paragraph which is self-explanatory:

The Minister of Propaganda-ganda Wang Anda, a lonely
datuk, would have been mighty proud yesterday to read
a page N3 item and that he had a well-trained disciple
in a double datuk who surpassed the sifu himself in
manufacturing nu'es. And the nudity exposed by mGf
howsy.blogspot.com and maverickysm.blogspot.com. who
achieved a sort of ecstasy I think in seeing the
emperor wearig his new(s) clothes. I believe Bloggers
also act hand-in-hand just as the MSM act
hand-in-glove with the said Minister.
This should have been uploaded yesterday, but since
Desi was away in B'g, B'd Wolfish Koala Lumpuh for
most part of te wickedend,my counsellor Mr Coww
insisted he help wash away my wayward ways so that I
do not stray too far away from the heavenly path. I
quietly appreciate his good intentions, though I also
quietly whispered to myself that "The path to Heaven
is strewn with lots of good intention."Okay, this
quote is not Desi, so don't take me to court, royal or
otherVice.
So this B'G, B'd Wolf in Section 16, Petaling Jaya did
not escape the slaughter house. Desi 'invested' RM1.20
to get hold of a copy of the Print Edition last

‘No’ to street protests
Majority support use of laws to preserve harmony
PETALING JAYA: A large majority of Malaysians are
against street protests and have backed the
government’s decision to use the laws to stop anyone
from threatening racial peace and harmony.
This was revealed in a survey conducted by the Merdeka
Centre from Dec 17 to 21.
Eight hundred and sixty one respondents from
throughout the country, who were randomly selected
along the lines of state of residence, ethnicity,
gender and age (21 and above) were interviewed over
the telephone for the survey.
To a question on whether the Government should use all
the legal means it has to stop individuals and groups
from threatening racial peace and harmony, 73% agreed
to such a tough stance.

‘No’ to street protests
Majority support use of laws to preserve harmony
PETALING JAYA: A large majority of Malaysians are
against street protests and have backed the
government’s decision to use the laws to stop anyone
from threatening racial peace and harmony.
This was revealed in a survey conducted by the Merdeka
Centre from Dec 17 to 21.
Eight hundred and sixty one respondents from
throughout the country, who were randomly selected
along the lines of state of residence, ethnicity,
gender and age (21 and above) were interviewed over
the telephone for the survey.
To a question on whether the Government should use all
the legal means it has to stop individuals and groups
from threatening racial peace and harmony, 73% agreed
to such a tough stance.
However, 15% of those surveyed disagreed with such
actions.
The survey also showed that 52% of Malaysians
supported the Prime Minister in the strong action
taken against the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf)
while 25% disagreed.
Fifty-two percent of the respondents felt that street
demonstrations were unacceptable for voicing one’s
views while 43% said it was acceptable.
Fifty-nine percent said that demonstrations were not
an effective way to achieve the objectives of the
protesters but 29% felt otherwise.
The respondents said that street protests not only
affected business in the country but also gave
Malaysia a bad name overseas.
Eighty-two percent of the respondents felt that
demonstrations disrupted business activities and
traffic in the city.
Seventy-three percent said it would affect the economy
while 80% of the respondents said the country’s image
would be tarnished by such activities.
To another question on whether they believed the
allegations by Hindraf that the Government carried out
ethnic cleansing and extremists-backed marginalisation
of the Indian community, 72% said “No”.
Fifty-six percent of the respondents felt that street
demonstrations or illegal public gatherings would
likely turn violent but 27% disagreed.
However, the response was almost evenly split on the
question of who or what was likely to be the main
cause for some demonstrations to turn violent.
While 32% said violence was caused by unruly
demonstrators, 29% believed instigators or
provocateurs in the crowd were to blame.
Twenty percent cited the actions of the police as
being the likely cause of violence.
When the respondents were asked if they were aware of
the two illegal demonstrations in Kuala Lumpur – 54%
said they were aware of Bersih’s protest on Nov 10
while 77% were aware of the illegal Hindraf gathering
on Nov 25.
DESIDERATA:
This sole report alone vindicates the stand taken by
many members of the Fifth Estate to boycott several of
the MSM -- such as The Star, the NST, Utusan Malaysia
ad nauseum -- because it confirms again that these
Fourth Estate residents, especially the chief editors,

gathring when it was closer to 40,000 in the strets of

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Yes, while the HINDRAF, PEKIDA and DAMAI MALAYSIA brouhaha kept us distracted, a crime boss is quietly released on the personal instruction of the Attorney-General. And the police officers who detained him are going to be crucified for ‘wrongfully’ detaining this crime boss.
On 10 November 2007, BERSIH organised its march to the Istana Negara. The New Straits Times reported that 4,000 people turned out that day. That same government-owned propaganda organ masquerading as a mainstream newspaper also reported the IGP as saying that 4,000 police personnel were mobilised that day. This would give us a ratio of one-to-one. But looking at the photographs in both the newspapers and on the internet it could clearly be seen that the yellow shirts swamped the red helmets. It would be impossible for the ratio to be one-to-one if the yellow practically buried the red.
According to the organisers, they estimated the crowd at about 50,000. And they estimated the crowd that was prevented from reaching the Istana Negara as roughly another 30,000. The intelligence agencies, however, have estimated the total crowd -- that which reached the Istana Negara plus that which was prevented from doing so -- at 138,000. So this is how far the estimates vary; from 4,000 by the New Straits Times to 138,000 by the intelligence agencies. Invariably, your guess is as good as mine on what the real figure should be -- but an educated guess of 80,000 would not be far off.
Then, on 25 November 2007, we had the HINDRAF march where, again, the crowd was estimated as between 5,000 to 30,000. From what I saw I would believe the 30,000 figure. And, again, it was estimated that about 20,000 were prevented from getting through. But what was interesting about the HINDRAF affair was not the size of the crowd but the events of the day plus the post-rally events that followed soon after that.
When the organisers realised that the police had cordoned the area surrounding the British High Commission and that there was no way they could get through, they decided to break up into a few groups, just like what BERSIH had done, and meet at various points, just like what BERSIH had done. Around midnight, they started moving into Batu Caves and by 2.00am the crowd began to build up. At 4.00am, the crowd had reached optimum level and the police pushed them back into the temple compound and locked the main gate.
The crowd was now trapped and there was no way it could launch the march to the British High Commission. Also, a march that far would take some time since Batu Caves is not quite near Jalan Ampang. It was apparent that all the crowd could do was to assemble and probably make some noise as a show of strength. The crowd was certainly not going anywhere.
At 4.20am, the police commenced firing tear gas and water cannons into the crowd. But the crowd was within the temple ground and trapped behind closed gates. No one was attempting to crash the gate or to start a march. What was the reason for shooting into the crowd? If the reason for opening fire was because they had assembled illegally, how was it possible for them to disperse when the police would not open the gate to allow them to leave the temple ground and go home? The crowd was assembled only because they had been pushed into the temple ground and the gate locked behind them thereby trapping them inside.
The police said that they did not open fire and shoot into the temple grounds. The photographs tell another story. And eyewitnesses said that the MIC Youth leaders were amongst the police and that it was they who gave the police the order to shoot. Yes, MIC Youth was there but they were mingling with the police, not with the crowd within the temple ground. Would the police have opened fire considering the crowd was already trapped inside and had nowhere to go if the MIC Youth had not given the order to do so?
The HINDRAF organisers had estimated a crowd of 10,000. Even they were surprised when the crowd ballooned to 30,000. Where did this additional 20,000 come from? And was it coincidental that the majority of the people were MIC members? Were these MIC people turncoats who had now abandoned MIC and were wholeheartedly behind HINDRAF? Or were they diehard MIC members who were sent to infiltrate the crowd to make up the numbers and give an impression that matters are more serious than what many imagine?
In short, how much of the HINDRAF rally of 25 November 2007 was for real and how much was staged? And if much of it was staged are the HINDRAF leaders and organisers aware that they had been set up? It appears that HINDRAF was played for a sucker and its leaders set up as fall guys.
This theory would be hard to prove if not for the Internal Security Act detentions of the five key players of HINDRAF. The ‘HINDRAF 5’ were detained under Section 8 of the Internal Security Act instead of the ‘normal’ Section 73. “What’s the difference?” you may ask.
Well, under Section 73, they would be detained by Bukit Aman or the Special Branch for at least 60 days where they would be subjected to around-the-clock interrogation, 24-7. The Special Branch ‘owns’ you for 60 days and they would spend the first 30 days interrogating you to find out who are behind you, where you get your funding from, who you are working with, your links inside and outside the country, your game-plan, your endgame, your strategies and objectives, your strengths and weaknesses, and much more. In short, they want to know everything and anything even down to how many strands of pubic hair you have. The second 30 days will then be spent ‘turning you over’. You will be shown how and where you have erred plus they will ‘help’ you ‘see the light’ and assist you in returning to the ‘right path’.
These 60 days will help Bukit Aman and the Special Branch determine if you are really dangerous and a threat to national security or whether you are just misguided and have unwittingly been used by certain people without you being aware of it. They will also determine whether you can be rehabilitated or have in fact already been rehabilitated within those 60 days and therefore can be safely released and allowed to go home. Only if they are confident that you are still a threat to national security or that you cannot be rehabilitated or that they would need more time to rehabilitate you would they further detain you under Section 8 of the Internal Security Act and send you to the Kamunting detention centre for an unspecified period of time. Seldom would they straight away detain you under Section 8 and send you to Kamunting without spending at least 60 days with you to probe what it is that makes you tick and how to make you ‘un-tick’.
Now, the HINDRAF 5 were not subjected to this 60 days interrogation and turning over process. Bukit Aman or the Special Branch did not get their hands on the HINDRAF 5. They were straight away detained under Section 8 -- which means the Special Branch could not touch them as they would now come under the Prisons Department and not Bukit Aman. The police detain you under Section 73. The Minister detains you under Section 8.
This is most puzzling indeed. Why did the police not detain the HINDRAF 5 under Section 73 of the Internal Security Act? Isn’t Bukit Aman or the Special Branch curious about who are behind HINDRAF? Isn’t Bukit Aman or the Special Branch curious about who are funding HINDRAF? Isn’t Bukit Aman or the Special Branch curious about whether the HINDRAF 5 are the real masterminds or merely the pawns of another higher power? Isn’t Bukit Aman or the Special Branch curious about whether HINDRAF has links with foreign terrorist groups like the Tamil Tigers? Isn’t Bukit Aman or the Special Branch curious the game-plan and endgame of HINDRAF? Isn’t Bukit Aman or the Special Branch curious about HINDRAF’s strategies, objectives, strengths and weaknesses? Umno says that Anwar Ibrahim is behind HINDRAF. Would Bukit Aman or the Special Branch not want to know whether this is true so that if it is true then Anwar too can be detained under the Internal Security Act? And how would they find out about all this if the HINDRAF 5 are detained under Section 8 instead of Section 73 of the Internal Security Act whereby the Prisons Department and not Bukit Aman has control over the Hindraf 5?
Yes, it appears like there are certain people who walk in the corridors of power who would like the secrets of HINDRAF to remain a secret. It appears like there are certain people who walk in the corridors of power who do not want Bukit Aman or the Special Branch to find out what HINDRAF is really all about. Bukit Aman and the Special Branch must be dying from curiosity. But they can’t do anything about it because the HINDRAF 5 comes under the Prisons Department and not Bukit Aman. And it was the Minister and not the police who detained the HINDRAF 5.
Umno says that HINDRAF is a threat to national security. Umno says that HINDRAF is anti-Malay and anti-Islam. Umno says that HINDRAF plans to organise an anti-Malay rally in Kampong Baru. Some of the HINDRAF people did in fact march through Kampong Baru on 25 November 2007. And the police opened fire on them and sent them running. Then the Malays in Kampong Baru opened the doors to their homes and invited the HINDRAF people in to take shelter from the police.
There was no Indian-Malay tension that day on 25 November 2007. The Malay police opened fire on the HINDRAF marchers and the Malays in Kampong Baru gave the Indians shelter. The so-called Indian-Malay racial tension is in the minds of the Umno people. And Umno is spreading rumours and circulating SMSess to give the impression that racial tensions are increasing and that there is a danger race riots will break out.
To further impress Malaysians that race riots are imminent they got this chap called Mohd Saiful Adil Daud to form DAMAI MALAYSIA, supposedly an amalgamation of 395 Malay NGOs with a combined membership of 1.5 million Malays. That is the biggest crap I have ever heard. You would be hard-pressed to find 39 Malay NGOs, let alone 395. And even then some of these so-called NGOs have less than a dozen members. Why did they not list down the names of these 395 Malay NGOs? They couldn’t because these NGOs do not exist. And certainly these 1.5 million members do not exist either.
Saiful is actually the runner of a well-known Malay gangster called Drs Suleiman a.k.a. Man Brandy. Man Brandy used to sell ganja around the Kampong Baru mosque area in the days before May 13. He then escaped to Indonesia when the police hunted him down for murder and that was where be bought his very impressive ‘Drs’ title.

The mastermind behind DAMAI MALAYSIA is Mamak Rezal Merican Naina Merican of GPMS. Their job is to stir the Malays into a feeding frenzy like what Datuk Harun Idris did on 13 May 1969. Unfortunately the effort failed. The Malays today are not like the Malays of 1969 and it is not so easy to incite them into an anti-non-Malay frenzy like how they did on 13 May 1969. Even the rumours they spread and the SMSess they circulated did not work. And the so-called PEKIDA rally in Kampong Baru on Sunday, 16 December 2007, the supposedly prelude to May 13 II, did not happen as planned. Nobody turned up except for the truckloads of riot police and Special Branch officers who patrolled a deserted street. It reminds me of how they cordoned an empty Dataran Merdeka on 10 November 2007.
But there is something else that happened during this same period and which went unnoticed and unreported. On 10 December 2007, the Attorney-General wrote the Deputy Minister of Internal Security a letter asking him to release Goh Cheng Poh a.k.a ‘Tengku’ Goh from Restricted Residence. As reported earlier, Tengku Goh is number two to BK Tan, the head honcho of the organised crime syndicate that controls the drugs, prostitution, loan-sharking and illegal gambling network all over Malaysia. He also controls the police computerised information system.
The next day, Johari Baharum released Tengku Goh in spite of the fact he has in his possession half a dozen signed Affidavits and other damaging evidence which implicates top police personnel with having links with the underworld. Two of these Affidavits are in fact signed by the underworld figures themselves.
Johari’s action of releasing Tengku Goh has just hung the many police officers plus the Director of the Commercial Crime Division who were instrumental in detaining Tengku Goh. What Johari is ‘saying’ is that he agrees Tengku Goh is a victim of a mala fide detention and that all the allegations against the latter are false. This can only mean that the police are crooked while the so-called ‘crime boss’ is an innocent victim of trumped-up charges.
Yes, while the HINDRAF, PEKIDA and DAMAI MALAYSIA brouhaha kept us distracted, a crime boss is quietly released on the personal instruction of the Attorney-General. And the HINDRAF 5 are detained under Ministerial order under Section 8 and not Section 73 of the Internal Security Act so that the Special Branch and Bukit Aman can’t get their hands on them and interrogate them to get to the bottom of the whole thing.
Anyway, we have previously reported in great detail this whole affair of the links between the Royal Malaysian Police and the organised crime syndicate. The 11 earlier episodes can be read below -- so we really do not need to recap the events thus far. Suffice to say we conclude this Twelfth Episode the way we had forecasted -- and that is the boss of bosses of the underworld syndicate walks free. You can’t say that Malaysia Today lies or is wrong in its forecast, though this time around I wish we had been wrong.

And how would they find out about all this if the HINDRAF 5 are detained under Section 8 instead of Section 73 of the Internal Security Act whereby the Prisons Department and not Bukit Aman has control over the Hindraf 5?
Yes, it appears like there are certain people who walk in the corridors of power who would like the secrets of HINDRAF to remain a secret. It appears like there are certain people who walk in the corridors of power who do not want Bukit Aman or the Special Branch to find out what HINDRAF is really all about. Bukit Aman and the Special Branch must be dying from curiosity. But they can’t do anything about it because the HINDRAF 5 comes under the Prisons Department and not Bukit Aman. And it was the Minister and not the police who detained the HINDRAF 5.
Umno says that HINDRAF is a threat to national security. Umno says that HINDRAF is anti-Malay and anti-Islam. Umno says that HINDRAF plans to organise an anti-Malay rally in Kampong Baru. Some of the HINDRAF people did in fact march through Kampong Baru on 25 November 2007. And the police opened fire on them and sent them running. Then the Malays in Kampong Baru opened the doors to their homes and invited the HINDRAF people in to take shelter from the police.
There was no Indian-Malay tension that day on 25 November 2007. The Malay police opened fire on the HINDRAF marchers and the Malays in Kampong Baru gave the Indians shelter. The so-called Indian-Malay racial tension is in the minds of the Umno people. And Umno is spreading rumours and circulating SMSess to give the impression that racial tensions are increasing and that there is a danger race riots will break out.
To further impress Malaysians that race riots are imminent they got this chap called Mohd Saiful Adil Daud to form DAMAI MALAYSIA, supposedly an amalgamation of 395 Malay NGOs with a combined membership of 1.5 million Malays. That is the biggest crap I have ever heard. You would be hard-pressed to find 39 Malay NGOs, let alone 395. And even then some of these so-called NGOs have less than a dozen members. Why did they not list down the names of these 395 Malay NGOs? They couldn’t because these NGOs do not exist. And certainly these 1.5 million members do not exist either.
Saiful is actually the runner of a well-known Malay gangster called Drs Suleiman a.k.a. Man Brandy. Man Brandy used to sell ganja around the Kampong Baru mosque area in the days before May 13. He then escaped to Indonesia when the police hunted him down for murder and that was where be bought his very impressive ‘Drs’ title.

The mastermind behind DAMAI MALAYSIA is Mamak Rezal Merican Naina Merican of GPMS. Their job is to stir the Malays into a feeding frenzy like what Datuk Harun Idris did on 13 May 1969. Unfortunately the effort failed. The Malays today are not like the Malays of 1969 and it is not so easy to incite them into an anti-non-Malay frenzy like how they did on 13 May 1969. Even the rumours they spread and the SMSess they circulated did not work. And the so-called PEKIDA rally in Kampong Baru on Sunday, 16 December 2007, the supposedly prelude to May 13 II, did not happen as planned. Nobody turned up except for the truckloads of riot police and Special Branch officers who patrolled a deserted street. It reminds me of how they cordoned an empty Dataran Merdeka on 10 November 2007.
But there is something else that happened during this same period and which went unnoticed and unreported. On 10 December 2007, the Attorney-General wrote the Deputy Minister of Internal Security a letter asking him to release Goh Cheng Poh a.k.a ‘Tengku’ Goh from Restricted Residence. As reported earlier, Tengku Goh is number two to BK Tan, the head honcho of the organised crime syndicate that controls the drugs, prostitution, loan-sharking and illegal gambling network all over Malaysia. He also controls the police computerised information system.
The next day, Johari Baharum released Tengku Goh in spite of the fact he has in his possession half a dozen signed Affidavits and other damaging evidence which implicates top police personnel with having links with the underworld. Two of these Affidavits are in fact signed by the underworld figures themselves.
Johari’s action of releasing Tengku Goh has just hung the many police officers plus the Director of the Commercial Crime Division who were instrumental in detaining Tengku Goh. What Johari is ‘saying’ is that he agrees Tengku Goh is a victim of a mala fide detention and that all the allegations against the latter are false. This can only mean that the police are crooked while the so-called ‘crime boss’ is an innocent victim of trumped-up charges.
Yes, while the HINDRAF, PEKIDA and DAMAI MALAYSIA brouhaha kept us distracted, a crime boss is quietly released on the personal instruction of the Attorney-General. And the police officers who detained him are going to be crucified for ‘wrongfully’ detaining this crime boss. And the agency that has been tasked with fixing up the police officers is the Anti-Corruption Agency which is taking action against the police officers, not for the crime of corruption but for the ‘technical’ offence of wrongly filling in the forms. And the HINDRAF 5 are detained under Ministerial order under Section 8 and not Section 73 of the Internal Security Act so that the Special Branch and Bukit Aman can’t get their hands on them and interrogate them to get to the bottom of the whole thing.
Anyway, we have previously reported in great detail this whole affair of the links between the Royal Malaysian Police and the organised crime syndicate. The 11 earlier episodes can be read below -- so we really do not need to recap the events thus far. Suffice to say we conclude this Twelfth Episode the way we had forecasted -- and that is the boss of bosses of the underworld syndicate walks free. You can’t say that Malaysia Today lies or is wrong in its forecast, though this time around I wish we had been wrong.
All that crap we Malaysians are being fed with. I suppose Malaysians are so stupid they deserve this.

I believe Bloggers also act hand-in-hand just as the MSM act hand-in-glove with the said Minister.
This should have been uploaded yesterday, but since Desi was away in B'g, B'd Wolfish Koala Lumpuh for most part of te wickedend,my counsellor Mr Coww insisted he help wash away my wayward ways so that I do not stray too far away from the heavenly path. ‘No’ to street protests
Majority support use of laws to preserve harmony
PETALING JAYA: A large majority of Malaysians are against street protests and have backed the government’s decision to use the laws to stop anyone from threatening racial peace and harmony.
This was revealed in a survey conducted by the Merdeka Centre from Dec 17 to 21.
Eight hundred and sixty one respondents from throughout the country, who were randomly selected along the lines of state of residence, ethnicity, gender and age (21 and above) were interviewed over the telephone for the survey.
To a question on whether the Government should use all the legal means it has to stop individuals and groups from threatening racial peace and harmony, 73% agreed to such a tough stance.
However, 15% of those surveyed disagreed with such actions.
The survey also showed that 52% of Malaysians supported the Prime Minister in the strong action taken against the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) while 25% disagreed.
Fifty-two percent of the respondents felt that street demonstrations were unacceptable for voicing one’s views while 43% said it was acceptable.
Fifty-nine percent said that demonstrations were not an effective way to achieve the objectives of the protesters but 29% felt otherwise.
The respondents said that street protests not only affected business in the country but also gave Malaysia a bad name overseas.
Eighty-two percent of the respondents felt that demonstrations disrupted business activities and traffic in the city.
Seventy-three percent said it would affect the economy while 80% of the respondents said the country’s image would be tarnished by such activities.
To another question on whether they believed the allegations by Hindraf that the Government carried out ethnic cleansing and extremists-backed marginalisation of the Indian community, 72% said “No”.
Fifty-six percent of the respondents felt that street demonstrations or illegal public gatherings would likely turn violent but 27% disagreed.
However, the response was almost evenly split on the question of who or what was likely to be the main cause for some demonstrations to turn violent.
While 32% said violence was caused by unruly demonstrators, 29% believed instigators or provocateurs in the crowd were to blame.
Twenty percent cited the actions of the police as being the likely cause of violence.
When the respondents were asked if they were aware of the two illegal demonstrations in Kuala Lumpur – 54% said they were aware of Bersih’s protest on Nov 10 while 77% were aware of the illegal Hindraf gathering on Nov 25.
DESIDERATA:
This sole report alone vindicates the stand taken by many members of the Fifth Estate to boycott several of the MSM -- such as The Star, the NST, Utusan Malaysia ad nauseum -- because it confirms again that these Fourth Estate residents, especially the chief editors, are not ashamed in distorting news (4,000 people gathring when it was closer to 40,000 in the strets of Kuala Lumpur -- are they blind during daylight?), crimes of omission of coverage (e.g BERSIH Walk as if it did not happen...these GEICs saw only the Police roadbloacks and blamed the traffic jams on the marchers instead!), et cetera.

The United States demanded Thursday that Malaysia provide fair treatment to five leaders of a rights group held under a security law that allows for indefinite detention without trial.
The five from the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf), pushing for an end to discrimination of ethnic Indians in multi-racial Malaysia, were picked up Thursday and ordered held under the feared Internal Security Act (ISA).
"Our expectation as a government is that these individuals would be provided the full protections under Malaysian law, that they would be given due process, that they would be accorded all the rights accorded to any other citizen, and that this be done in a speedy and transparent manner," State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said.
Hindraf enraged the government of Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi last month by mustering at least 8,000 people to the streets of Kuala Lumpur to highlight various issues facing ethnic Indians, including lack of economic opportunities and destruction of Hindu temples.
Police used tear gas, water cannons and baton charges to break up the protests.
"It is our firm position that those individuals who want to peacefully express themselves in a political forum or any other forum should be allowed to do so," McCormack told reporters.
Human rights groups have campaigned for the abolition of the ISA, a law that they say has been abused by the authorities.
The ISA is currently being used to hold more than 100 people, including about 80 alleged Islamic militants.
Human Rights Watch, a US group, said the arrest was "outrageous."
"We have said over and over again that the ISA should be abolished and there is no room for holding people, never mind indefinitely, without charge and trial," said Mickey Spiegel, the group's Asia division senior researcher.
The Malaysian government, led by ethnic Muslim Malays since independence, has always used deadly race riots in 1969 as a reason for controls on freedom, even though some groups believe that after 50 years of independence, Malaysians are matured enough to discuss their grievances openly.
"Malaysian authorities are obligated, like any sovereign countries' government, to balance the need for public order with equally important need for robust and free debate of issues important to Malaysian citizens," a State Department official said.
"It is our hope that the Malaysia government will allow the freest possible debate," said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity.
The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, a US non-profit law firm that helps defend freedom of all religions, charged that the destruction of Hindu temples -- some built before the start of the British colonial period almost two centuries ago -- could be an attempt to erase Hindu heritage in Malaysia.
Hindraf claimed one temple was being demolished every three weeks.
"What I have heard from people is really that in destroying these temples, they are trying to destroy evidence of how long the Hindu faith has been a part of Malaysia, particularly in the context of advancing Islamisation and of the equation of Islam with nationalism in Malaysia," said Angela Wu, the Fund's international law director.
Hindraf has filed a four trillion dollar lawsuit against Britain for alleged atrocities suffered by Indians whose forefathers were brought as indentured laborers to Malaysia during colonial rule. — AFP

ANWAR IBRAHIM RELEASES ENTIRE LINGAM RECORDING FOLLOWING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A ROYAL COMMISSION
After I first made public the Lingam video clip nearly three months ago, the government has finally announced the composition and terms of reference of a Royal Commission to investigate judicial corruption.
In spite of the initial stonewalling and the much belated setting up of a three-man panel, we view this concession by the government as a positive first step in restoring the integrity of the nation's judiciary. We applaud the thousands of Malaysian people who have demanded reform of the judiciary.
The terms of reference of the Royal Commission unfortunately fall short of a broad mandate to initiate a comprehensive investigation into the crisis facing the judiciary, which was widely demanded by the Bar Council, NGOs, and other institutions of civil society. The video provides proof that the rot is pervasive and has corrupted the highest levels of the judiciary. We regret that the Commission will not be empowered to address the entirety of the problems represented by the video.
The inclusion of Tan Sri Haidar and Tan Sri Steve Shim as commissioners also raises some concerns. The Royal Commission has been charged with investigating matters concerning all the names mentioned in the tape, including my own, referred to as the "Anwar Case" in the tape. However, it must be pointed out that Tan Sri Haidar and Tan Sri Steve Shim were among the judges who heard my case in the Federal Court. In this regard, we believe that the onus is on them to remove any semblance of bias or conflict of interest which may arise in the course of the proceedings pursuant to the Royal Commission's inquiry.
Nevertheless, we remain committed to giving our full cooperation to the Royal Commission with the sincere hope that the members will not shirk their responsibilities in carrying their duties without fear or favour. Bribery, judge fixing, injustices perpetuated against many and wrongful conviction are serious problems which demand serious attention.
In fulfilling my earlier promise, I am releasing the entire 14-minute video clip and I pledge to cooperate fully with the Royal Commission. The video can be viewed at:

Pada mulanya, kerajaan tidak mengendahkan isu ini tetapi kemudiannya hanya bersetuju membentuk panel tanpa bidang kuasa jelas. Justeru itu, keputusan menubuhkan Suruhanjaya Di-Raja kami anggap sebagai langkah positif untuk mengembalikan integriti kehakiman Negara. Kami mengucapkan tahniah kepada ribuan rakyat Malaysia yang telah menuntut reformasi kehakiman.
Malangnya, terma rujukan Suruhanjaya DiRaja ini tidak memenuhi bidangkuasa yang sewajarnya untuk memulakan siasatan menyeluruh terhadap krisis yang dihadapi institusi kehakiman, sebagaimana yang dituntut Majlis Peguam, badan-badan bukan kerajaan dan lain-lain pertubuhan masyarakat. I had stopped reading The Star since Nov 10, 2007 (Bersih Rally remember?), only once a while tok a peep at its Online edition to pick up some "useful" crap either for Blogging or Reference. Just now fellow Blogger @whatalulu.blogspot.com alerted me about the ISA arrests, Yes, it looks like the first wave has started.

Five Hindraf leaders detained under ISA (updated)
PETALING JAYA: Police said they have detained all five leaders of the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) under Section 8 (1) of the Internal Security Act.
The five are P. Uthayakumar, M. Manoharan, R. Kenghadharan, V. Ganabatirau and T. Vasanthakumar. They were picked up at various locations in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Seremban.
They will be detained for two years, Inspector-General Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said in a statement.
On Wedensday Uthayakumar was released on police bail after having been arrested on Tuesday for a second sedition charge.
He was among three Hindraf leaders who were charged at the Klang Sessions Court on Nov 23 for allegedly making speeches to incite hatred at a gathering in Batang Berjuntai, Selangor, on Nov 16.

Mr. Prime Minister, first there were 2,500. Then there were 138,000. Now there are 30,000. Tomorrow there will be more. The day after even more.
Mr. PM, Do you hear them?
Mr PM, Do you hear the people sing? Do you hear the song of angry men? Do you hear the music of the people who will not keep silent any more? Do you hear the beating of the people’s hearts? The beating of their hearts for justice is louder than the beating your police can give.

Do you see the people’s tears? Do you see the people in a sea of yellow two kilometers long? Do you see the tears on their faces? The tears from their cry for democracy are more than those your tear gas can cause.

Is your vision so limited that you can't anticipate a 3-3 stalemate, matey?

The house of human and citizen rights to defend
Once stood tall and august
But Dec 11 saw the rapists marching in
Precedents were set by nincompoops
Who preferred foul language because they lost their soul
Demeaning wives, sisters and daughters with leaky smelly mouthings

Of Human Rights
Common citizens who gathered to hand over a memorandum
