this guy mGf zorro calls BOTAK!

should be charged for spreading rumours and disturbing the public peace.

It is species like him whose party members could have collaborated in spreading "rumours" via sms etc to create at atmosphere of fear to make themselves great prophets so that any "unrest" that follows would give them the high moral ground to say: "I told you so ..."

The Botak had called Anwar a "snitch" for the United States, no less -- translated in my English vocab as "Anwar is an American spy ..."; now he pronounced Anwar a security threat just because "Anwar has a good track record of organising demonstrations."

By the same argument, Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King should/would have been jailed for organising "civil disobedience" marches in the name of fighting for their fellow men's freedom and justice.

Hey, Botak, the Police under your UMNO regime didn't deem the UMNO Youth demonstrators a threat when they marched towards the Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall building years ago shouting and carrying banners that they "would burn it down". (I stand to be cotrected -- this bunch of UMNO hooligans were responding to mere "APPEALS" by a group of mainly Chinese NGOs and associations addressed to their Government in a wholy civilmanner in the form of a memorandum.)

And now this guy masquerading as a peace-loving lamb -- but in truth a wolf-of-an-UMNO-minister -- said he could predict from sms and ceramah speeches that PKR led by its de facto head was planning to organise street protests.

Obviously, the 8th March 2008 General Elections results did not penetrate some thick skulls. And I wonder how many such skulls are still out there charading behind wolves' hide...

Syed Hamid has proof of planned protest

PARLIAMENT, July 14 - Despite protests from the opposition that they were not planning any demonstrations, Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar today claimed the authorities have intelligence pointing to an assembly organised by the Pakatan Rakyat at the Parliament.

He disclosed that speeches at various ceramahs and short messaging service text have been circulated recently inviting supporters and activists to be in Parliament for the no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister today as proof of a possible gathering, which prompted the police to lock down the city with a security blanket of 1,600 policemen that slowed traffic to a crawl.

He said the police took the threat seriously as "Anwar has a good track record of organising demonstrations."

"We cannot compromise our intelligence network. This information also comes from their people. Now if they ask who these people are, of course we won't reveal," Syed Hamid told reporters in parliament, adding Anwar had decided to mobilise supporters at a Pakatan Rakyat meeting on July 9.

The minister, who had apologised for the gridlock in the city, stood by the police for their action, saying they had gone through proper procedures to go about their duties including getting a court order barring Anwar and his followers from within 5km radius of the Parliament.

Syed Hamid also chastised Anwar for snubbing a police order to give a statement and risking arrest in a sodomy complaint by his male aide, saying the opposition leader was initially asked to give his statement over the weekend but police compromised and changed it to Monday.

Replying to Anwar's lawyer Sankara Nair's complaint that police have yet to furnish a copy of the police report by accusser Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, the minister said, "In the first place, it is an arrestable offence. When the police call, you go. You don't ask for the report first. You go to the police station. If he doesnt know all these charges, then why did he go to the Islamic Affairs Department to file a complaint?"

Anwar, who is facing a fresh sodomy claim after a decade, claims the latest accusation is politically motivated and has lodged a report against Saiful for qazaf or slander with the Federal Territories Islamic Affairs Department.
