I don't know whether to laugh or cry

When I spotted this blurb (journalese for a short heading to point you to some important news inside)on The Star frontpage this cool Tuesday morn:

Dr M
blamesloss on
bribery

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Frankly speaking, I sort of feel sympathetic to the 81-year-old former Prime Minister. At this late stage of his service to party, as its President for 22 years, he was REJECTED, even as a delegate to the Party Assembly, by his constituency members.
But it was the Poetic Justice situation that makes Desi realise sometimes,
THINGS COME FULL CIRCLE.

I cannot laugh or cry. But I have to ask: Is this surprising at all?
To UMNO members? to non-UMNO Malaysians? to even Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad himself?

Desi has his answer
, will tell thee if you buy me tehtarik plus some stuff/stuffing in an envy-elope?

Turning to page N6, the report details the story with header:

Dr M: They
were bribed

(IF on a PC Word, it would have been 20-point size for effect!)

I won't reprise the report because my ER -- too pamered a lot! most times/dimes by desi! -- would guess (90% chance CORRECT!) what it's all about. Money politics -- RM200 per vote. And a piece of paper being displayed by Dr M with seven names (Yeah, another G7!) as "favoured candidates".

And interestingly, the Chinese phrase "CHAI TAN" did NOT appear in The Star . Desi remembers vividly this "Chai Dan" was very prominent at an MCA party elections years ago, so it's safe to attribute such a customs that the MCA had made Chai Tan "famous".

Translated, it means "menu" like when you attend an eight-course dinner. Food, oh, glorious food. Oliver would defintely ask for aMore! More than RM200.

Except the UMNO division Chai Tan and the MCA Chai Tan are/were NOT edible. But it came along in an envelope with RM... (like a new year ang-pow, except this comes once every three years, so it's much BIGGER than the annual festive wan.

Desi's final serving of dessert at BF: The way Malaysian party politics is headed, next we will hear of Wan Tan!:(

I saw him on the news last night, talking about corruption, with an unusual 3 microphones in front of him, and his wife (I think) standing behind, looking somewhat more concerned for him...a pitiful sight!

"things come full circle"

amen to that.

when i first read he accused the gomen "they were bribed", i immediatley think of election during his time. weren't there so much speculation that the gomen that time (his time) had bribed many of the voters to vote for BN?

I think he is weeping about the price he pay for the Sabah frogs. Those frogs seems more valuable than his own kind.

I almost felt sorry for him, but I do feel more sorry for his wife, children & grandchildren. He never really intended to make up for lost time with his loved ones.
