CON-trol, -verse, -ning

There are many CONs going around NegaraKu these days.

A Dr Elie could CON enough buggers to be in te media spotlight for weeks and wickedends on end ...wonder if Makna is still harbouring hopes of getting its RM1...billion cheque?

Almost everyday, like the branded Milk I still drank at 4-7, I receive via Email from a Nigerian VVIP, like ex-Banker, ex-Prince of Harmburg, or ex-Miister's son, daughter or son-in-lw or daughter-out-of-law to offer Desi some USD200million if only I would let them use my Pub'ic Bank Account to take out from the noses of the current regime of "wealth" accumulated under the olde regime amounting to USD999billion...They refer to IT as Scam 419 I think. Luckily, Desi did not succumb to temptation, hence I'm still around scribing for a song, and a dance sometimes.

I was tempted, yes, cos I'm no saint! -- WoW, I could buy, not jest one, butt 10 of my Dream I-LANDS!

estiNATIONS!

My closet/closest socialist ER/mGf and Desi can retire to any of the islands -- maybe January to first, February to second, etc, etc...

I may even live to see Vision 3030!

But the trouble is: NegaraKu is in danger of even attaining V2020.

PM: I'm
in control

HAVANA:
“I am in control.” Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi asserted his authority when he told his critics that he has not lost control of his administration.

The Prime Minister said he was committed to making reforms in the country but would do things “my way.”

However, he added that he would not resort to making arbitrary changes or without consulting his Cabinet colleagues.

Abdullah said it was wrong of people to assume that he had lost control just because ministers had differing opinions on certain matters.

“This does not happen every day,” he added, saying that in such cases he would refer to the Cabinet to correct things.

The different views were normally due to some “grey areas” in the role of the ministries, he told Malaysian journalists at the end of the NAM Summit here yesterday.

“People who don’t understand say Pak Lah has lost control.

“But it is their view. What can I do?

“From the political perspective, I do not have any problem in the Barisan Nasional or Umno,” he said when asked to comment on remarks in Parliament by Kota Baru MP Datuk Zaid Ibrahim that the Prime Minister had not made reforms that had been promised after he took over the position three years ago.

Abdullah said reforms could not be made overnight, adding that everyone had his way of doing things but should not lose sight of the objectives.

“I consult the Cabinet on all matters. That’s my way of doing things.”

Abdullah said several Cabinet committees and parliamentary select committees had been set upfor specific issues to ensure decisions made would not result in problems for the people.

“In some cases, it could take long periods to decide, as ....:::DESIDERATA:

I said I would follow up the Quiz ChallengiA with something CON-troversial, didn't I?

Well, I won't pamper (GRow up, children, don't wet yourselves while wee-wee-ing...) my ESteemedReaders by reproducing Pak Lah's Laments -- not from broken-hearted silhouettes! -- and thinking on their behalf.

The following are solely my views, and should anyone disAgree, p[lease come forth, challnege Desi and state thy RAT-tionale.

OtherVice, cease and desist. And forever, hold thy tongue and let me get on the job of Writing, K!

I don't owe anyone a Report Card every other week on What I Bloh, How I blog since I started this premier journey 1-1/2 years ago.
Pak Lah started his Three Years ago, double mine -- so why the hell should he but asked to give a report card every other week?

I am in CONtrol of my weblog, wet or dry days.
Pak Lah is in CONtrol of his Cabinet, wooden or golden.

The foregoing is the INTRODUCTION to my thesis is that a Government goes to the Electorate once every four or five years for a new mandate -- and that's when it has to open its Report Card for inspection.

I may not like the way the present Prime Minister and his "wooden" Cabinet largely inherited from the olde regime are perforing. But what blardy alternative have we --the Electroate who put Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi&'Puppies' (I hesitate using "Dogs" for 'puppies' lest I be molested/violated for indiscretionary choice of words -- They shoot you, you know! Guna or tak guna!)

So back to Pak Lah's speech in Havana -- I hope he's not under the Castro's influence, or was IT the cigar?

Q1: Why state the obvious, Mr PM? "I am in control.”Of course, a CEO is in CON-trol!

Just like YLChong is in CONtrol of desiderata2000.blogspot.com,
It's not time yet for Desi to read his will is it?

The Prime Minister said he was committed to making reforms in the country but would do things"My Way" ~~ Yes, everyone can sing Frank Sinatra's song, IT is not a sin, is IT?

Desi would give the impression I'm being paid if I CON-tinue to bore thee with such similar rebuttals, also seem to be insulting my ER' intelligence, which for the life of me, I won't do.
As I said it earlier, I plan to live to see V3030.

PS: If you are NOT happy, too bad, K!
I'm not here in Blogsworld to please everyone. I please myself first and foremost.
If my dear ER are also pleased, it's a bonus.

So my parting advice to our PM, don't waste more time/dime
giving such regular Report Cards.
JUST GET OUT THERE, and DO THE F***KING JOB OF A PM, viz:

1. Make your wooden Cabinet more alive by being Accountable and Responsible -- like
especially wrt How the Billions under their Ministery's allocations are spent?

2. Restore freedom of speech and maturity to the much-cowed Legislature -- like telling BN MPs you don't need to act like parrots, or, carry other leaders' balls?

3. Restore Independence to the much-emasculated Judiciary --
like Setting up a Commission into the Sacking of trhe Lord President and Senior judges in 1988?

4. Allow the present "Subservient and Servile" Media to grow and mature, and enjoy a true Springtime -- like what is expected of them to play a more meaningful role in a parliamentary democracy called Malaysia?

5. Being a practising democrat, I invite all my ER to state action number 5, how about thatAnd this is not rhetorical Q!

No.5 Restore natural justice and the rule of law. Equality means Equitable, that he cannot deny he did not influence or approve favours. He don't have to... all what is needed is his name.

He must not allow morons to rule and dicate new terms of more handouts and rent-seeking. He must be; this is the rule No.5: A Prime Minister of all Malaysians, for the people, by the people, to the people; not just UMNO and his family!

Oh, I need Rule No. 6: Get his son in law out of 4th floor and out of politics. He is a threat to the nation's social fabric.

Seriously, Malaysians are amnesiacs who will not give a damn what he did in the past, but only if he would to start acting right now!

No. 5? IPCMC. Period.

agree with your observation. Butt I think some parties are throwing spanners into Pak Lah's machinery/wheels -- this I cannot stand.

Times have passed some people by -- it's time they wave goodbye instead of sowing disCONtent!:(

IPCMC -- I think it will come about with some amendments incorp counter proposals from Da Force lah. I second your priority.

More important to Desi is the Judiciary -- its independence has been much castrated; we need to restore its old glory which we ineherited from Colonial masters but destoryed in two decades -- MERCILESSLY, making lots of innocents victims along the Dictator's path of fury. Time to BURY?:(
