Is Malaysia Becoming a POLICE STATE?

Desi's answer is a BIG "YES"!

By now most readers would have read about PKR MP for Pandan Sdr YB RAFIZI RAMLI's ARREST under the OFFICIAL SECRETS ACT, and being locked up for THREE DAYS.

This hard-working FIRST-TERM parliamentarian who gave up a RM30,000 pm job to help the main Opposition Party headed by fellow fighter DS Anwar Ibrahim, (now imprisoned for 5 years on trumped up SODOMY 2 charges...) was arrested as he left Parilament building yesterday -- That clearly is an abuse of due process of the law.

SDr Rafizi was doing his duties as an MP trying to prevent leakages or abuse  of funds - in the present case safeguarding savings in the ARMED FORCES FUND BOARD-- among other companies, and always in the picture, involving 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), fast becoming, IMHO, the SCANDAL of the decade.

WHO WILL BECOME THE NEXT ARREST VICTIM of the Royal Malaysian POlice Force's black list? Why is the IGP so supre-fast acting against Opposition leaders and Internet media like THE MALYSIAN INSIDER, and recalcitrant on BN miscreants and blatantly UM-oh-NO hate mongers in the MSM Like the UTusan Malaysia? Maybe idhuan TEe Abdullah can help us wit' some answers?!

KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) vice-president Rafizi Ramli has been arrested by the police today as he exited the Parliament building this evening.

The matter was confirmed by PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil via WhatsApp message on Tuesday.

Inspector-general of police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar confirmed that the arrest was made under Section 8 of the Official Secrets Act (OSA).

"Confirmed that YB Rafizi Ramli was detained just now outside the Parliament building and will be investigated under Section 8 OSA," he said in a Twitter posting recently.

Yesterday, Bernama reported that the Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) has initiated legal action against Rafizi Ramli regarding the allegation made by the PKR secretary-general against LTAT.
Its chairman, Admiral (rtd) Tan Sri Mohd Anwar Mohd Nor said : "It is clear that the claims made by Rafizi are slanderous and motivated by malicious intent, with a view to impact the good reputation and credibility of LTAT.

KUALA LUMPUR - Opposition lawmakers who participate in the march from Parliament to Bukit Aman in solidarity with PKR’s Rafizi Ramli can and will be arrested in accordance with the Peaceful Assembly Act (APA), says the Inspector-General of Police.
Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar (pic) in a series of tweets on Wednesday wrote that the Act forbids any street protest.
“The APA forbids street protests so the organisers better be prepared to face stern consequences.
“The police would like to remind those who intend to participate in the march to Bukit Aman to protest the arrest of YB Rafizi Ramli to abide by APA to avoid facing action,” he said.
Khalid added that the arrest of Rafizi was in accordance with the law and that the police would leave it to the Attorney-General and the courts to make further decisions.
Earlier on Wednesday, Opposition lawmakers said that they would be marching from Parliament House to the federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman at 9am on Thursday to protest the arrest of the PKR vice-president.
Rafizi was arrested in front of Parliament at about 6.20pm on Tuesday under the Official Secrets Act (OSA) to facilitate investigations over claims he made against the Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT).
