On Poetry
by azly rahman
like a revelation,
poetry cometh
a flowing river a soul it is,
to recapture
a memory,
a moment,
a metaphor,

like a revelation,
poetry cometh
a flowing river a soul it is,
to recapture
a memory,
a moment,
a metaphor,
a metamorphosis
a mangled vision
unlike a revelation
poetry cometh not
from a strange voice above
seemingly a divine decree
grandiose made to be
but from the voice within
a deafening silent scream
of consciousness
no god would hear
but of sheer simplicity
of an idea yearning to be free
and when wings grow on it
words and verses may reveal hidden mysteries
just like a simple verse : "i and thou/must we be in "it" eternally?"

DESIDERATA: Yes, poetry cometh not from a strange voice above
Often like a shower of blessings
Words flow from the heart into verses
Meeting the shifting sands of Imagination of every
Grain of sand on the shore
I await
Maybe my soulmate too
If thou art one
You and I make two
Blending into a unity
Maybe we kiss on that roving border night
Eternity
Maybe fellow poet Azly R also waits
Wit' words and sounds as a stream so smoothly flows
Be it in Seremban
Or in Chica go
On a new kingdom come
A duo or trio
Can transform into a new Unity
And we are transported into a state
Almost divine
Almost touching eternity
