Spineless politikus, good riddance

You get them cheaper by the dozen
For a pittance
Good as fodder in the UMNO cannon

Two stories brought a big smile to Desi's face today; from page N8 of The Star:

Friends forever -
Pandithan and Samy

Desi's first reaction: REALLY?

No future for
Indians in
PKR, says Nalla

Desi's second reaction:

No future
for MIC clones
in multi-racial PKR

DESIDERATA:
I won't promote The People's Paper todie reproducing the reports, but the highlights worth recalling, some based on Desi's mental archives:

Pandithan is currently president of 17-year-old IPF who broke away from MIC to link arms-in-arms with Tengku Razaleigh, of Semangat 46 fame, to face off with (now Tun) Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad's BN led by UMNO. Subsequently, Pandithan crawled at Dr Mahathir's feet to beg to become another BN component. Smartly, for his own survival, Samy Vellu barred IPF's entry. Maybe Pandithan's COFFIN demo was not deep enough.

Then lately, prominently at the Ijok by-election, erswhile foes Samy and Pandithan did an Indian samba or Bangra or Ronggeng on stage, and weeks later, the good Datuk was elevated to a Tan Sri. Soem Chinoserie having less twisted tongues would pronounce it as Tan Si.

Now the famous/notorious/riotous? duo has blared out in typical Bollywood style: We are permanent friends, till death do us path

As for the less-than-six-months survival as PKR member Nalla thinks being a business tycoon he could buy his way up in PKR politics. Or inject MIC-cloned politics into a multi-racial political party. On hindsight, it's wisdom at the highest level that he was not picked to contest on PKR platform in the Ijok by-election; and also he was lucky to be advised by de factor PKR chief Sdr Anwar Ibrahim not to proceed with the party vice-presidency contest at the recent party congress in Seremban.(Rumours had it Anwar did him a service because grassroots feedback indicated that Nalla would lose, and Anwar had done his friend a face-saving from an impending defeat.)

But that's water under the bridge.

More murky waters had Nalla stayed back in PKR. So with Nalla's early exit from PKR, he had returned Anwar's favour.

Let Desi end with a farewell reminder:

There are no permanent friends or foes in Politics. Only permanent interests.

And mGf Helen full of awe from Ipoh loudly whispered, heard ALlowed and Clear from Furong:

GIGA. Good riddance to bad rubbish. I hear an axiom well established among Bloggers. Politicians can learn somethin' from blogosphere.

hahahaha Reminded me of what Bruce Lee said...

"Be like water. Formless and easily conform to any shapes."

IMHO, men are a different story. They should be shaped by their conviction and integrity. Not formless.

It's not easy to be a politician, but it's even harder to be a man. :-)

Helen: Come to Furong for Coney Dog, then meet with Morrie eh? and we will debate this: "It's not easy to be a politician, but it's even harder to be a man. :-) "
