I give RPK not an iota of benefit of doubt...II

Desi cuntinues with a tinge of sadness with arguments I started in the preceding post to demonstrate how Raja Petra had indeed changed, and "souled" out to the dark side. It was some time last year that I saw the change in this royal blogger with whom I stood side by side proudly at BUM2007 and BUM2008 which highlighted his standing as the keynote speaker. When I said "with sadness", Desi realises that often, at the end of the day, his case demonstrates the dictum holds true that THERE IS A PRICE ON EVERYONE'S HEAD.

I now reproduce the Star's page N4 report headed
RPK: Anwar lost his credibility

and will attempt a rebuttal para by para (as I once did to a white woman resident in Malaysia carrying Petronas' balls -- for a few golden pieces of gold, Yes?), with the highlighted sections THUS BOLDED and IN ITALICS, marking my points of rebuttal.

RPK: Anwar has lost his credibility

Reports by SIRA HABIBU, RUBEN SARIO, JOSHUA FOONG, IAN MCINTYRE, P. ARUNA and CALVIN YEO

PETALING JAYA: Blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin claimed Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim lost his credibility as the Opposition leader when he failed to fulfil the promise that the Opposition pact would form the government on Sept 16, 2008.

DESI: SO JUST ON ONE MAJOR FAILURE TO DELIVER "916" WOULD EQUATE THE OPPOSITION LEADER HAVING LOST ALL CREDIBILITY? RPK, how many battle have you fought in one's life and didn't win all and yet you refused to give up? -- that trait should be a desideratumOFleadership and also must apply to any potential great leader, including Anwar Ibrahim, the attitude of fighting and not surrendering just because of one major setback!

Raja Petra, who said Anwar was once his close friend, added that he too was deceived by the PKR adviser's false promises when he (Raja Petra) was detained under the Internal Security Act.

DESI: How did Anwar deceive you? You went in under the ISA because the BN government/Home Minister had to sign the detention order, NO? Not Anwar,YES?

Dear ER, I have to tae a break for makan-makan and will be back by dinner time, InsyaAllah, YL, Desi @5.20PM

“Anwar came to the court because there were two cases going on simultaneously and told me don't worry, you will be out soon because we are going to form the government on Sept 16',” he said in the second part of an interview with TV3 aired last night.

DESI: Yes, Anwar might have given him hope of taking over the federal government, as with most opposition leaders, they were motivated by "hope for change and victory " What dashed Anwar's, and many PR followers' hopes, were the money-lured Taiwan study trip for some 40 members of parliament from the BN component aparties, RPK, don't you remember? And you yourself must know the "power of the almighty dollar, no?"

Raja Petra alleged that unfulfilled promises, internal bickering in Pakatan Rakyat and Anwar's personal issues were enough for the people to re-evaluate Anwar's capability to lead the Opposition pack.

DESI: For the past three years, the PR as a young coalition had indeed seen factional fights, but isn't that part and parcel of growing up of an infant coalition, acknowledgabley with some seemingly opposing policies. Anwar's leadership was not in question by the three components, DAP, PAS and PKR, leaders and general leadership, so RPK, WHO ART THOU (and MCLM PRESIDENT HARIS IBRAHIM TOO) to pronouce final judgement?

He claimed that many had told him that they were disillusioned with Anwar and had lost all confidence in him.

DESI: Yes, that many were reporting to you as a mandated SUPRA-GOVERNING BODY CHIEF eh?
And they include MPs like Zulkifly Noordin, Zahrain (?)..., Wee Choo Keong, Tan Tee Beng, et al, whom we all know are like you, turn coats for a high price, Yes?!

“The moment someone criticises the leadership, action is taken against them,” Raja Petra added.

Desi: Really, like sacking recalcitrants Zaid Ibrahim and Zulkifly Noordin? They should have been put to pasture a long time ago -- it's just that PKR and defactoleader Anwar couldnot afford to fight battles on so many fronts. So you don''t deem Zaid, Jeffrey Kitingan as possible BN Trojan horses, RPK? Well, you and Haris Ibrahim have been acting, and still act, in cahoots with these two ex-PKR leaders, so I don't need to educate you.

He added that sometimes there were misunderstandings between PAS, DAP and PKR in the running of Selangor, resulting in contradictions among one another pertaining to policies.

“Anwar kept quiet while the people below him were fighting. This is not good leadership. A leader knows how to control his soldiers,” Raja Petra said.

DESI: As I said earlier, every coalition will have grounds of contention and factional rivalries. It's the MSM who embellished and exaggerated on the PR's diffeences that sometimes became public -- like Ali Hassan's differing stand from PAS leadership on the alcohol issue that RPK referred to. It's just that the MSM, including TV3 and NST, The Star and the great Utusan -- great as in a moniker "great RPK" ascribed by an online editor, remember? -- remain silent on UMNO, MCA and MIC internal fights, but like RPKR in the past one year, go to town with special commentaries by Awang Selamat and Wong Chun Wai and Joceline Tan, ad nauseum...

In the first part of the interview on Wednesday, Raja Petra said he believed that the order for him to write the statutory declaration (SD) implicating the Prime Minister and his wife in the murder of Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu in 2008 came from Anwar.

In his latest blog posting yesterday, Raja Petra said he had never implicated Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor in Altantuya's murder, even in the SD.

DESI: RPK, you must be so naive to think the MSM won't do a "spin" on your SD to the Barisan Nasionaladvantage-- why art thou complaining about the MS spinning? Were you born just Yesterday?

You may deny all you like, BUT IT'S THE PERCEPTION you create in your columns -- repeating with daming headlines about Rosmah's presence at the scene of the crime -- now you exonerate them with your latest TV3 interview, that was how the NSTY spun it, so are we surprised?

“Sometimes, we need a storm to get people's attention. Maybe now the police will do what I have been asking them to do in the last three years investigate my SD and ascertain the truth behind what Lt Kol Azmi Zainal Abidin alleged,” he said.

Lt Kol Azmi was a military intelligence officer who Raja Petra claimed was among those who gave him information on the murder.

DESI: You not only created a storm -- you spilled the beans onmany "informants" like what you did to me (and the Malaysian Chronicle) alleging that we received "Offical Secrets" documents which we dared not publish and pass on to you to do the task. I called you "a liar and a coward" but you maintain elegant silence. You learn very well from some past and present UMNO leaders, that I can credit you for. From the commenters at your website running into hundreds now trricking into just single or double digits, your malaysia-today.net readers have seen through the Emperor's new clothes.

DESIDERATA's added comments:

As I said in an eralier article questioning RPK's and Haris' mandate in MCLM to select candidate for PR parties, I again pose this question:

Who appointed you as Parliament auditor or monitor (I used the term "SUPRA-GOVERNING BODY") that you gave a damning report card on Opposition Leader suggesting that he's not fir to head the three-member coalition; hence, also Anwar is not fit to head the Federal Government should the PR succeed in taking over Putrajaya cometh the 13GE?

If the current Sarawak state elections have been "impacted" (negatively on PR, that is...) by your TV3 and MSM spin arising from your Australian holiday interview, I think it's alright, WE LIVE TO FIGHT THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTIONS, and for your own good, please continue your high living in London, Sydney or Timbucktree. Someone has got very deep pockets to finance MCLM.

I also wrote about the Malaysian Civil Liberties Movement as the Third Force or Third Farce, with my maintaining the stance it would just act as "spoliers" in the GE13 by fielding socalled "independent" candidates, you failed to defend my query, also the same opinion expressed by many readers at MT and other websites. Is MCLM the privileged special vehicle for you and Haris to enjoy a high life of travel and living, cheered on by olde faithfuls like Zorro, Hawkeye, Shanghai fish,et al, and other diehard members with no criticalminds of their own who enjoy the kacangputih you throw at them? You stated noble role of picking "20 to 30 men of integrity" to stand under PKR or DAP banner, yet you lambast Anwaras an "unfit" Opposition Leader just based on three years' record. Think about this -- the DAP, PAS and PKR leaders themselves maintain their support through Anwar's rise and fall and trials and tribulations through Sodomy 2, Datuk T ex video and other time-consuming distractions cooked up by UMNO, but you the great RPK thinks otherwise.

"In closing with a prayer, may God protect Desi from such self-egoistic supra Homo sapiens like you and Haris and other MCLMers so that I may not fall victim to RPK's shenanigans by crossing his path again! -- Amen
