Is Mr Nice Guy Still Around?

OR has he transformed into a tough NutCracker?

My initial assessment about the PM and DPM's swtich of portfolios, with Pak Lah taking over Defence, and Najib Tun Razak taking over Finance, can be interpreted TWO WAYS:

(1) Mr Nice Guy is no more as nice than when he started his PMship about five years ago; he has ransformed to becoming a tough nut himself,or worse/better yet, depending on your viewpoint, he's become a tough NutCracker. His warning to Anwar yesterday that he is now a threat to the country's economy, and "maybe" even a threat to the nation's security/safety, prefaced a possible use of the ISA against the PM-in-waiting!

(2) Mr Nice Guy remains still Nice but honed and tempered and wiser, so he taketh away the control of the Armed Forces from a deputy not much to be trusted, as indicated by his foot pedalling backward on the transfer of power by his CEO by June 2010, varying the terms of agreement fronted by ambitious VP Muhyiddin Yassin --"Et tu, Brute!" --that the deadline be carried forward, or subject to decision by the UMNO divisions meeting after the Hari Raya.

Desi's gut feeling is that of scenario (2) as his immediate battle is to survive his UMNO dissidents, that is, the THREAT posed by the Deputy now enjoined by an ambitious "Brutus" on the PWTC stage. An indicator will flow from the UMNO Supreme Council's decision today whether to allow bit player/antagonist waiting in the wings Dr Mahathir's to re-enter the PWTC Stage. Did I preach that Ms Patience is also Mr/Ms/in-between Virtuous?

I like the play JULIUS CAESAR by the Bard -- No, it's not the bastard! -- for Shakespeare was himself no bastard, but knew a thing or two about bastardly or dastardly friends from within, more dangeours than enemies from without.

Why is Desi talking English literature when discussing Malaysian politics, you dare to ask?

How do I answer thee, my esteemed readers, but reply with yet another quote from Hamlet:

To be or not to be,
that's the question..... (The 'to be' is as Uno Numero -- or izzit Nemero Uno? many things in my homeland are indeed TOPSY-turvy nowadays, and Desi's afflicted!-- CEO of NegaraKU.

Dear Desi,

You're implying 'or' but I think it should be an 'and.'

It's all the above.. 1 and 2. :-)

Maybe getting a Karate master to teach him the "chops" would solve some of his internal problems.
