KHAIRY, Don't talk just Malay rights, How about MALAYSIAN RIGHTS?

From thestar.com.my, after reading the print copy today, I ask of the UMNO YOUTH CHIEF, why after 57 years of Independence, the overstaing BN government still stresses on Malay rights? Hey, after Sabah and Sarawak joined Peninsular Malaysia to form the new nation called MALAYSIA as equal partners, MALAYSDIAN ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES -- the latest involved a PKR leader, see the second story below -- cannot freely travel EVEN IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY!

Hey, Khairy, please address NMATIONAL ISSUES, not just narrow sectarian ones as the YOUNGER GENERATION are expecxted to be forward looking, no?

PETALING JAYA: Khairy Jamaluddin says he is not about to go back on his words over Malay rights at the Umno general assembly.
“My speeches are public and the media are free to report it,” said the Umno Youth chief.
“I said what I wanted to say. I do not say something and hide behind closed doors,” he added.
Khairy said this in response to PKR Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad’s claims that he was insinuating racial slurs at the assembly while maintaining a liberal stance in public.
Last week, social media was abuzz with news of Khairy’s alleged “racist” statement during his policy speech on other races challenging Malay rights.
He also said he had not received any legal letter from activist Hishamuddin Rais over a video that depicted the latter and other activists engaging in seditious activities that was aired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at the general assembly.
Khairy said this to reporters after attending the “Walk the Talk – Stop Violence Against Women” forum at Universiti Malaya yesterday.
During his speech, he said such events were important for the younger generation to understand and prevent violence against women, be it physical or mental.

KUCHING: Wanita PKR chief Zuraida Kamaruddin (pic) has been barred from entering Sarawak, for the second time this year.
The Ampang MP boarded a Malindo Air flight at 7.15am from Kuala Lumpur bound for Kuching.
Also on board were PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar and Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
“We arrived at Kuching International Airport at 9.20am and headed towards immigration. I got past without a problem,” Nazmi said yesterday.
However, an immigration officer asked Zuraida to wait, and then told her that she was on the blacklist, he said.
She was put on the next Malindo Air flight back to Kuala Lumpur at 4.30pm.
They were in Sarawak as part of PKR leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s “Rakyat Hakim Negara” nationwide tour.
Zuraida was first denied entry into Sarawak during the Balingian by-election in March.
However, she was allowed in on April 19 when she went to Kuching for her own campaign during the PKR elections.
She is the second person this month to be turned back at Sarawak checkpoints.
Last week, Bersih 2.0 chief Maria Chin Abdullah was also turned away at Kuching airport.
