The Boss -- and with UMNO WANITA, the end is NIGH!

As I read the Star's frontpage headline today,

Wings of fire
with a pic of subhead
Hear me roar
showing Shairzt gesturing as she delivers her fiery speech during the Wanita Umno geneeral assembly yesterday, I told myself: IF I WERE THE PAPER"S EDITOR, i would replace the header wit':

Wings of arrogrance

and the subhead wit'2:

Power corrupts, and absolutely power corrupts absolutely, replacing Sharizat's pic with a conscientious (meaning FULL OF CONSCIENCE...) delegate (Desi's challenge: anywan out dare at PWTC next two days?) showing her middle finger to the chief, and softly speaking to kill her off: GET LOST!

Maybe as a conscientious Malaysian, please may I share with my ER, including some Wanita UMNO delegates who surf the net, that as I read the moUrn paper, I was tuned also to CNN at about 1130AM and the segment was on Quest Means Business, talking about a FRANCIS LUI, of Macau's Galazy resort:

After googling, here's backgrounding froman earlier episode:

In this episode of 'The Boss', Francis Lui – four months after the launch of his casino resort the Galaxy Macau - admits to having missed a trick or two.

The pool deck – the jewel in the crown of the Galaxy resort - is under pressure. With almost 3000 people wanting to use it on a busy day and between 500 and 800 on an average day there's need for a bigger pool at the Galaxy.

Francis now needs to focus on what needs to be fixed or changed at his resort.

DESIDERATA: In this bright sassy morn enjoying the comfort of my living room, Francis is reported to be spening at least once a week visit to the Galaxy work site as he truly means BUSINESS, and it's in the details like "picking up a cigarette butt" to make sure his product is at its customers' loving best.

"No, it's not my business picking up the ciggarette butt. It's just my showing leadership by example so that this credo cascades down to the staff..."

And that's why The Boss has been thriving in the business for 32 years now and still going down to the field to lead by example.

So back to the "cows and condos" case which I have written many blog posts hear... Here's the Wanita Umno chief replaying her husband's arrogrance.

NO SIGN OF REMORSE, instead it was roarng fiore to a full hallf of sycophamtic delegates. Enhanced by sycopahntic journalists like The Star's Jossling Tan -- yes, jossling for associate power? -- who instead of chastiosing the wrongdoings of our nation's laeders, do good PR jobs of reinforcing that BN leaders can do no wrong.

Of course, UMNO YOUTH chief -- whose name I deem below Desiderata's dignity to say hear because the lembu and gost and dogs around my neighbourhood have higher IQ to understand what accountability and integrity in leadershiop is all about -- also did his wardance as the WAnita counterpart. Why don't they just hoild a song and dance p[arty at the RM13.8million condos NFC -- "nothing to do with me," says Sharizat of the family's obtaining soft loan of RM250mil from the generous party gomen! -- instead of wasting precious time&dime singing sycopantic chorus lines? Yes, farmer Jones and olde Macdonald taught us at kindie and primary school how ezy it's to sing: Moo, moo, yes, then Agri Minister MOOyiddin?

And yet they can't tell the wrong insyphoning off RM14mil from a soft loan of RM250 meant for cattle reaing into two luxury condos -- 4high-living cowherds and wine-drinking cows, izzit?

So my lust advice to my most esteemed -- or izzit steamed? -- readers: In coming GE13, vote "ABU"!

AND IF YOU HAVE TO aRsEk what "ABU" means, here's my fiery reply: GET THE HERE OUT OF HELL!

And lustily, remind:

Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absoluetly. ~~ Lord Acton

We Deserve Better!

As a Malay I think we deserve better from our Malay leaders then what is now going on in the UMNO general assembly at PWTC.

As a Malay I am embarrass that UMNO insist on blaming everyone but themselves for the dire situation that this once great Malay political organization now finds itself in.

And as Malays it is incumbent upon us to let UMNO understand that despite their insistence, there is no threat from Dap , PAS or PKR to the survival of our race or Islam . For UMNO to claim otherwise is irressponsible and mischievous for it threatens to wreck asunder the very fabric of our society!

I will not be persuaded that just because the survival of UMNO is now at stake the survival of the Malays too is at stake! It insults my intelligence for UMNO to try and link the survival of the Malays with that of UMNO. The survival of UMNO is in the hands of the Malays but the survival of the Malays is definitely not in the hands of UMNO!

The lot of the Malays are tied up with the survival of the other races of this country! It would be more appropriate to say that the survival of the Malays and the other races of this country – the survival of our country even, could be better with the demise of UMNO.

I say all this because I want UMNO to do to itself whatever is necessary to survive as a relevant political entity after the 13th general election. Just as Pakatan Rakyat is now a credible opposition party we will have need of a credible oppossition once Pakatan Rakyat governs because we want a functioning democracy in our country.

“It is a characteristic of wisdom not to do desperate things” Henry David Thoreau…but then is there any more wisdom left in UMNO?

The alpha male baboon have high stress level because of the demands of fighting off challenges and guarding access to fertile females. Not much different from what the Alpha males in UMNO faces! Whether Najib has done guarding access to fertile females is anybody guess but there is no denying his need to fight off challenges from his peers.

But what is Sharizat now facing? Her present situation points to the stalling of a once promising future coming to a shuddering halt as a result of the NFC debacle. Her serious participation in serious politics now is questionable given demands made for her resignation. Is she politically finished?

It would seem that Sharizat’s work-life balance is a problem. The loyal husband of hers seems to be remiss in his duty to his politician wife! Either way all this is now made more delicate by it being played out in the public domain. It is not a gender issue. It would seem that when push comes to shove, Sharizat have shown that she can equal, and, in some cases, put her male counterparts in the shade when it comes to sleaze, nepotism and money politics. She is just as corrupt, as odious and as incompetent as any UMNO male politician.

We Malays deserve better than this from these Malay leaders in UMNO. Much better
