Bus stops and life's junctions

Chinese New Year is for Desi a long bus stop along the way among many of 365 junctions I pass by daily in one year. Okay, plus one more day like that special EIGHTth Beatles day in a leap year, an excuse for many froggie politickuses to jump ship, especially a sinking wan like the BN. Hey, leave politics alone, I say to meself, this is supposed to be a festive season when GOoDwill precedes all open houses, though mine -- Desi's Place -- is open everyday throughout the year.

Like Christmas, Deepavali, Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Aidiladha. Malaysians of differet faiths and hues are expected to down their political stripes -- blue-, green- or red and white- bloodstreams to be washed over by neutral coloured transfusions -- and for a goodwill period, smile for candid camera. I do that too; othervice, life when taken too seriously, takes its toll on one's health. And as one advances in age, you realise that Health is the most important untradeable commodity on earth, unless you a Tyoon, can buy someone's kidney in Singapore when you need a transplant, and it's now legal to "pay" to get at that beggar's extra kidney. I think God is all His mercy is greAt in gifting most with two kidneys so one's considered a "spare", like that 5th tyre in the boot. In my boots, I have hole-stricken socks. So sock 'em to Desi if you wanna throw out those December Christmas stockings!:(

Okay, this is supposed to be a Sundae's rumination, and I was inspired by an email from an angel A reminding me that I've been recalcitrant by not meeting up -- so she's invited me to a capitalist BF at the SUC tomorrow before 930AM. Normally I am a capitalist convert only during the wickedends. But tomorrow's Mondae could be that elusive "eight" day I called "Prime Day" which mGf at catsville won a small prize for gassing right in a leftist puzzle I ran eon days ago at MBH. MBH stands for either My Blue Heaven for those spititually inclined, and for those less-, it'sMy Blue H'aven. Frankly this host doesn't care what you call my cyberhome as "long" as you leave you foot- or paw-prints to help get get to that 20million mark, to enable Desi to reach that I-LAND IN THE SUN FOR AWE MY GOoD FRIENDS named:

spirite
DES
ti
NATION.

As we enter the seventh (7th) day of the bullish niu year for that tribe we call chinoSIRie, my Kantonis firend from Kajang who runs the Butterfly Valley reminds Desi that tis greAt day is for all HUMAN BEINGS, which means literally YOU and Meand awe those who can still drive a car or sit as passengers (and steal get away wit' RM300 fine for not belting up the police!:) aslong as you remember to stop at that junction with the traffic lights reading Amber or Red.

You are supposed to slowly STOP when it's Amber (not cha-cha-cha!) and immediately STOP when the bull's colour that says "Charge" appears, though Ihave said many a time that's a myth. One the light turns GREEN, the bull stops cahrhing, so your car can go, and normal life goes on.

Ah, until you come to a bus stop. You sometimes meet familiar faces, so you stop by the stop to say Hi-,or Lo-, and sometimes a pretty face or handsome bloke, you linger and take in the full Lol-and-Behold!

This CHINESE NEW YEAR is a "long" bustop for me, and I found out many "niu" things:

* Chikuninya is a viral disease spread by the Aedes-strain mosquito, with symptoms very much like dengue fever, and yes,it's commoner than you think! I heard it from a recent victim,my brother-in-law wo after two months, still complains of back and joint aches climbing the stairs, even getting up from his lazy chair!

** Yes, today February 1 is NOT jest City Day for all the FT -- so tomorrow is a public holiday should you be located in Kuala Lumpur! -- but it's also "Yan" (which means "HUMAN") day as pronounced by that subgroup called Kantonis among the humble/proud/arrogant chinoSIRie tribe/race/clone. (See, Desi's especially democratic after down many cuplets of health-upgrading Puerh tea, my dear, aMore!?)

*** Many of the YoungOnes are treasuring their jobs-carrers nowadays -- as they hear of some unlucky laidoff 300,000 Malaysians kambing back from earning BIG bucks (like mGf jacq...butt she's lucky, she's got a promo, not laying off!:) in SINgaLAND -- they take "longer" holidays in line with the Government's call to preserve "jobs" so that companies need not retrench staff but retain their workers by having a shorter work-week. Hey, that's so Desisque LESS WORK, SAME PAY! -- I want an Eight-Day Weak all dies&nights long, so I can hit the hay at 3AM and sleep in till 11AM like what I've been doing the past se7en days!

**** That I still ENJOY MY TRADITIONAL COWBOY POKER SESSIONS WITH MY SIBLINGS AND EXTENDED FAMILIES AND FRIENDS MUCH MORE AS WE BANTERED AND PULLED EACH OTHER'S LEGS. Along the way, many of the YoungOnes are "educated" into higher mathematics as they are inducted into Probability Theory. We don't call these card games "gambling" -- that's so taboo/passe! -- it's nicked Investors Relations! FUN-d is the name of de Game!

:):):):):) That I DON'T ENJOY anymore those ritualistic re-unions with so-called "friends-cum-classmates" who don't even keep in touch, and for so-called "old boys" school ties, got together to speak of mundane stuff and touch the surface of what's ogoing on each other's lives. After many trials and tribulations of "friendship", I have finally moved one. Sometimes new found bligger-buddies and 4CHANGE political struggle comrades add more aji-nie-motor oil and spice into my socialist-writer's life. I just recently met one Dr Yusof Said at Lingam's via Ancient Mariner's lifeboat, and hey,in less than two hours, I connected wit' this doc much A*more and long-er than those so-called "friend-cum-classmates referred to earlier.

So on this mixed note -- Hi&Lo note, musically speaking, some badder, some not so good, all learning -- besides Beatles' Hey Jude, also I sometimes do a wiry, wily Willie Nelson's C&W "You're Aweways On My Mind", not yours, mone !I hit the hay again to prepare for the "Yan" partee celebs at 8.ooPM tonight.

CatchUP wit Desi&Gangz at Butterfyly Vale busstop, Furong, anywan or two, Pause a w'ile at this long life's junction?!

And I borroweth these GreAtings/writHings from mGf to record my AP!:):):)

Happy and Healthy New Year to you and yours. Thanks for quoting me, Oh no, quote not mine, but borrowed wisdom, as always.
