Mahkamah Tinggi Kuala Lumpur hari ini memutuskan Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim didapati tidak bersalah atas tuduhan meliwat bekas pembantu peribadinya.
YES! ~~ DS Anwar Ibrahim is set free after the good High Court judge
Datuk Mohd Zabidin Mohd Diah found the former DPM "NOT GUILTY" of Sodomy II charges this morning.
Desi wasn't too optimistic when I penned the previous post in the wee hours after midnight when I said only a MIRACLE -- with the Almighty's wisdom and benevolence acting through his servants on earth -- would set an innocent man free.
Giving credit to Pak Lah who preceded present PM Najib Razak who allowed Anwar his freedom to come out of prison during his Mr Nice Guy admin of just five years, and today, giving credit where credit is due, Najib did not push the much-feared High Court judge to do his bidding of taking Anwar out of the active political stage. But as Anwar said in his recent roadshow around the country before today's landmark decision at Jalan Duta courts, the event today is historic, BUT IT'S NOT ABOUT ANWAR ALONE, BUT MORE ABOUT OUR COUNTRY AND ITS FAIR-MINDED CITIZENS> Yes, it is a "V"ictory for the Rakyat -- the 26million people of this fair and loving land Malaysia we call home.

Anwar aquitted: Magnificent show of support stumps police, Najib
Written by Wong Choon Mei, Malaysia ChronicleUPDATE 6 In a shock decision, the Najib administration threw in the towel to overwhelming public support for Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim. The courts, which are under the thumb of Prime Minister Najib Razak's Umno party have acquitted Anwar of sodomy charges. This is in line with prolonged calls from the international diplomatic and business communities as well everyday Malaysians, who are fed up of the brand of manipulative politics pushed by Umno, beginning during the time of former premier Mahathir Mohamad.
"It is thanks to all the brave Malaysians for standing up to be counted this morning. This is not just about Anwar although he is the main figure. But we all know that enough is enough, the rot has gone on for too long. Things are out of control and the people can sense it. Only they can save Malaysia and this morning is the first step," a jubilant PKR vice president Chua Jui Meng told Malaysia Chronicle.
