Yusri Isahak, the lawyer who was previously the partner of Rohaizat Othman, the BN’s candidate for the upcoming by-election of Permatang Pasir said that he is being made a scapegoat as the reason for the revocation of Rohaizat’s legal practice licence. Where this is concerned, it was reportet that Rohaizat’s licence revocation was due to his partner’s misconduct and he was a victim of circumstances, but Yusri claims now that the legal firm was run with Rohaizat’s knowledge. He said "I'm not denying that there was some form of misappropriation. The running of the office, including matters on cheques and filing of cases, were done after discussions with my partner. This means we are both accountable for our actions, not me alone.bHow can Rohaizat not be aware of the firm's monetary transactions when he was one of the authorised signatory for the accounts. If there is such an accusation, the money in the bank has to be withdrawn using cheques. Produce the cheque numbers. I hope this explanation will clear me from being made a scapegoat in Rohaizat's negligence case that had caused him to be disbarred as an advocate and solicitor."
